So the first room they gave us hadnāt had the bathroom cleaned. The maintenance guy walked right in on us because he was in the process of fixing the drapes and didnāt realize the room would be rented. When I mentioned there didnāt seem to be towels, he did go get some. However, by the time he came back, I realized there were no towels because they were still in the bathtub and the bathroom hadnāt been cleaned. He just kind of shrugged his shoulders and said housekeeping was gone for the day. A couple of calls to the front desk and they eventually decided to get me a new room. The failing cleanliness grade is based on the new room. I get people make mistakes and get distracted, but the new room (while having clean towels, yay!) still was pretty dirty. I wish Expedia let me post pictures. Bottom line this is an old hotel (first room had crack in sink and hole in carpet, second room was much better) and terrible housekeeping (and I am really not that picky), I donāt think they had cleaned the vents or the tops of doors in years. I would find somewhere else to stay. Not worth the $$.
