"The view from the front deck is amazing! Watch the river go by! 4 bedrooms and everyone said the beds were comfortable. The house is bright with lots of sunlight coming in. The house shows it's age a bit and could use some new carpeting. We chose this property for the 4 bedrooms. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough seating in the living room for everyone unless you used the uncomfortable, "dining room" like chairs. "The 2 river cabins are great. They were a little hard to find. The hosts Mark and Jan were great. The rooms were clean and the kitchens and bathrooms were well stocked. To get to the bathrooms you had to go through a bedroom which was a little inconvenient. The location on the river was wonderful. We were able to fish, swim and kayak. Nearby restaurants were convenient and Brooks lake was just a short drive away. I would definitely recommend this place for a short getaway. "

But it doesn't really matter because we adore this cabin. Its so cozy, clean and inviting. The land surrounding it is so beautiful. We look forward to doing it all over again!"

"My husband and I stayed for one night. The town has a lot of history in it. The walk along the river was very easy to get to and enjoy. The house we rented is an attic turned into a living space. Perfect set up like a studio apartment. Only downside was if you’re tall, you might hit your head on the angled ceiling. I’m 5’5 and fit just fine!! I loved reading the guest book with the little stories of who have stayed there. "

"Staying at the Red Rose Ranch cabin will make you feel like you walked back in time with the beautiful historic cabin. This home is a great mixture of history and modern comfort. We were a group of 5 for overnight, but with family in the area we were able to gather for the 10 of us without feeling crowded. Plentiful seating options and a fully equipped kitchen made it feel like home. .homeaway from home.."
