"Lovely little cottage with a variety of goats, chickens, turkeys, and peacocks. Kim offered two bags of feed to hand out to the animals. Wifey and daughter loved it. Kim and husband were very responsive to our communications. We didn’t take in much of the area, we traveled for business. Nice mall and restaurants within driving distance, Roanoke about 15-20 minutes away. Overall it was a nice, cozy stay."

"Had a great stay in Roanoke. It’s minutes away from the Mcafee Knob trailhead and 20 mins from Roanoke, VA. The property was great, chrck-in process was pretty smooth, and ample space to park 2 cars. There is also a firepit and we were graciously provided with firewood and some smores which we enjoyed after a day hike. I would definitely book again if I am back in this area. "

"We arrived at The Station at Firmstone Manor tired and in the middle of a cross-country move. It was pouring outside and we were exhausted. To say that this perfect, cozy and pristine spot was a little piece of paradise would be an understatement. The Station is beautiful, clean and comfortable. They have thought of everything! Thank you for the extra special touches, from the fresh flowers to the craft beer and yummy, homemade cookies. We'll be back. "

"Rose Cottage was perfect and a delightful place to stay with dogs. The house had everything we needed and was so organized and welcoming that we were quick to feel at home. Jessie was so kind when we met. The fire pit and axe throwing down by the creek was so refreshing and the dogs were wild about running about in the huge fenced in section of the yard. We also enjoyed the deck. We're eager to come back when visiting our family and hometown again soon. "

"Easy access to shopping and grocery store. Comfortable surroundings. Beautiful nature and lots of birdsong. The chickens free ranging on the property is a plus. Love it! Highly recommend for small group of adults and maybe school age children. We were three adults. The bunk bed is a bit tricky on the top bunk for an adult. The queen bed is very comfortable."
