This home is near the center of town, offering a fantastic location for skiers, snowboarders, hikers, and foliage enthusiasts. Spend the winter months on the slopes of Mt. Snow, seven miles south, and Stratton Mountain, 10 miles north, and return each summer to tee off at the Mt. Snow Golf Club, nine miles south, or the Stratton Mountain Golf Course, 11 miles north.

Make yourself at home in the airy living space, whether preparing waffles in the kitchen or reading and playing board games. Use the free fiber optic WiFi through Infinity from Comcast to track the mountain conditions all winter. Soak in the summer sun on the deck as your kids run around in the yard, and then end each evening with stories around the firepit and movies on the TV and Roku with Netflix.

Great little cabin

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in October. The cabin was cozy and clean and had the necessary amenities to make our stay easy. The bed was cozy and the oversized recliners made relaxing at night easy. We hope to visit again soon.

Mice. Lockbox was broken.

Couldn't get into property because lockbox was broken. Had to drive 15 minutes to get cell reception and sit on the phone with Vacasa for 30 minutes to get the code for the 2nd lockbox. Mice droppings all over and the mice showed up to greet us each morning. Sent Vacasa a message with details and called as well and they submitted a "case" and said they would keep me posted. That was about 6 weeks ago.

We arrived on Monday and immediately found the rental to be very comfortable, clean, and cozy and a great location to visit all of the amazing attractions in the area. Overall it was an amazing experience and we cannot wait to visit again!

Excellent cottage and surrounding area

We stayed at this property last November and loved the area so much that we came back this June. There is no AC or fans so you may want to bring one. The windows in the bedroom do not open so a fan would be a good idea to have there. There are two overhead fans that obviously help. There was a power outage when we were out and the local Vacassa people were excellent in getting back to us when the power was going to be coming back. I also found out where the cable box was to reset it after the power shortage which is upstairs near the computer. They were about to send someone over but luckily I found it before they came. Beautiful area.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay. Our dog had room to roam around both inside and outside. The heated floors were so nice after a long day of skiing. Had all the essentials necessary to make a few meals. Also close to many nice places to eat. Maple leaf tavern, dots Dover forge.

Nice place, couple of issues.

The cabin is cute, itā€™s a good size for 2 adults and our 2 small/med sized dogs. The area is pretty and the yard is adorable. The property backs right onto the forest at the mountainside, which was lovely. The furniture is comfy and the house has everything you will need, including a fully tooled kitchen. The bed is small (full size) so if youā€™re used to a king or queen, itā€™ll be tight. Unfortunately the thermostat is locked behind a plastic case and despite being told there was a key, it was absent! The heat was way too high for us so sleeping in the small bed with the extra heat didnā€™t result in much sleep. Weā€™re home exhausted. When I reached out for help the first person told me to buy a fan and the second one offered to come and break the box!! We said no to both (non)solutions. Iā€™m sounding like a complainer, but we felt at the price that we should have been better served. What do I mean by that? The nightly rate for the 4 night was less than the fees tagged onto the bill. Unfortunately that means weā€™re unlikely to stay in this property again.

Amazing Getaway

My husband and I saw this rental after looking forever! We clicked on this property and it was love at first sight! We stayed a few days early November. If I ever had a second home, it would look like this! The pictures of this property are spot on. Equipped with everything you need to function while away from home. Warm and cozy, a great place to relax. We booked another trip here for next June!

Overall good

We stayed for a week in June, hiked around the area and had a good overall stay. One thing to point out about is that both bedrooms walls are not all the way up the ceiling, making it less private and you could really hear everything in the house. I feel that this place works better to stay with either family or people that youā€™re very comfortable with. It was pretty warm most days, thereā€™s a thermostat locked in a clear cover, not sure what it controls because it doesnā€™t look like thereā€™s AC in the house. We couldnā€™t get very good sleep because of how hot it got in the room with no ceiling fan for any air circulation in the room. Property is clean, kitchen is well stocked and has plenty of plates/pots and utensils to make easy meals.

Wonderful!

This was the perfect place for what my family and I needed. Super clean and cozy, great location. We all looked forward to coming ā€œhomeā€ after a day of skiing. The loft was great for my teen boys, and the bathroom, kitchen and living room - with Netflix - were perfect. We would definitely come again.

Solid Getaway to Relax

A great place to put your feet up and drink a coffee while looking at nature right outside your window. Perfect to cook & spend quality time together. Nearby town only 1/2 hour away (Manchester) had a great diner for breakfast (Bobs) fun book store to visit, and some other shops. Great stay for a much needed get away!

"Rustic"

This is an open air cabin..... it's one giant room with walls framing the MBR (ceiling opens up to the rest of house) and the other BR is a loft up a VERY tight circular staircase. Definitely a fall hazard. The upstairs BR had zipped-open sleeping bags as blankets. Old, filthy kitchen trash cans .... $30 in new trash cans would give a big upgrade. The back sliding door doesn't close fully, letting in a nice draft. Also, older or disabled people should know the house is up a long, steep set of stairs. Despite the above, it was a functional spot to stay for a few nights. Host offers soap, shampoo & conditioner. :) Served its purpose when my family needed a place to crash for a couple of nights.

Awful house!!!!

DONT STAY HERE! Ok. This house has problems. First, dead animal smell. Something must have crawled into the wall near the exposed insulation and died there. We bought Febreeze, candles, incense and even burned sage to try to get the smell out but nothing worked. Second, the wood burning stove in the photos was not actually there anymore. The fake electric fireplace under the TV smelled like burnt hair when turned on. None of the firewood was stacked next to the house, but rather in a wet pile in the driveway, so we had to buy campfire wood. The patio chairs in the photo were also missing, and the only chairs had pads left in the rain and wouldnā€™t dry. So we had to use indoor chairs. But we had to walk them around the house because the sliding door to the back yard was off the track and wouldnā€™t move. To go in and out from the backyard we climbed thru a window that also wouldnā€™t close at night. The mattresses were the most uncomfortable Iā€™ve ever stayed on and one of the beds was just built on a plywood platform instead of an actual bed frame. This house was insanely difficult to stay in and Vacasa was barely helpful with any of the problems. I called three times and emailed three times and they couldnā€™t get ahold of the property manager. Iā€™m pretty sure we all have sinus infections from staying in this house.

Beautiful, Secluded Oasis

My family had a wonderful time at this property. The house was impeccably clean, the beds were comfortable and the space was beautifully decorated. We spent our days baking and sitting outside by the fire. We brought our three dogs and the fenced in yard on the side was perfect to let them off leash and play with each other. Although just off the main road, noise was never an issue and we felt we had plenty of privacy. We would highly recommend this house to others and we will definitely be back!

Cozy clean and in an area fun to explore

My daughter and I had a great time in this cozy place for an end-of-summer break. The kitchen has everything you need (bring your own spices), the fire pit was delightful. The house was remarkably clean, cleaner than any other place I have rented. We had fun visiting nearby Wilmington, and biking on easy wooded trails in Dover and Jamaica. We also rode horses in Wilmington, and of course we visited the creamee stand on the way back. I recommend this place for a small group.

Not a comeback for us

Our stay for was for 3 nights , the place could have been better as far a cleanliness. The shower curtain literally was covered in mold and that was not pleasant, and the rugs need to be washed. The back door does not properly work and the front door only 1 lock works. Besides that, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed
