"The cottage is really nice, not too far from Claremorris (groceries, pharmacy and more). We had a great stay with a really calm neighborhood! Beware of the cats, they ask for pets really often. Also, the cottage has many nice things to visit around: beaches, museum, castles... and Sean and Suzi have put together a binder with great recommendations."

"We had a great stay house was really clean and comfortable but unfortunatly it is about 20 km from the train station as it says on website its 15 min walk so we had to get taxis in and out of town which was 30 euro each way Also they don't have credit card facilities so the money had to be revoluted or cash and we weren't informed of this untill day 2.."

"We spent two lovely weeks at the Brownstown Lodge. The house is spacious and comfortable. It was a good base for our exploration of western Ireland. Thomas responded immediately to our texts. Jim and Mary were wonderful hosts. There was cake and a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers waiting for us upon arrival. Midway through our stay, Mary brought us a delicious homemade rhubarb crisp! We loved the peaceful country setting. We are in a hotel now in Dublin. . .missing the comforts of the Brownstown...

"This well appointed immaculate home provided all the comforts of home for our group of golfers from the USA. The beds were SO comfortable and the separate bathrooms for each bedroom were a real bonus. The property is tucked away in the beautiful, quiet West Ireland countryside and yet is only a five minute drive from the town center. "Beautiful house, very well equipped in a lovely, quiet spot convenient for Claremorris and the airport. Small herd of alpacas in the field beside the house are a delight. John and Sarah were happy to help with anything we needed and were very kind and accommodating when a storm disrupted our travel plans. Would highly recommend."

"A really lovely place to stay in Westport. The three bedrooms, each with their own baths, were perfect for my aunt, my daughter and me. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the beds quite comfortable. Seamus meet us at the door with short notice when our flight was delayed. The location is perfect, right in the middle of town with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Two things to note. There is a kitchen and dining area but no sitting room. "Our family of 4 spent 6 nights at this lovely place and had a great time. Good location - we were able to explore the area (Balleek Forest, Westport, WAW coast) but you would need a car. The house way wonderful - lots of space and super comfy beds. My kids didn’t want to leave - swing sets, hot tub, beach, and donkeys - what more could they ask for."

"Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. We will definately return to stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, that is for sure! Derek Hanley, and family Dublin."

"Hotel was just outside Westport but walkable.. reception staff were not as friendly as we found the rest of Ireland and gave no information at checkin about the hotel.. The rooms were huge and bathrooms enormous and were cleaned and re stocked everyday. Breakfast was ok.. little on buffet to choose.Menu for Cooked food was good but arrived so promt it was impossible to have any first eg fruit yogurt porridge.. having said all that views at breakfast were just amazing it was a good hotel....
