Classic Stowe Ski Chalet by RedAwning

Come stay in a classic ski chalet that’s been renovated and ready for you and your guests. There’s plenty of natural daylight even during the winter months due to all the windows, and you’ll have a great view of Mt. Mansfield from the balcony. With over 1700 square feet and an open floor plan on the main floor you’ll have plenty of room to spread out. 


In the living room you’ll be able to warm yourself by the gas fireplace, and if you’re staying in the summer you’ll enjoy the air conditioning to help cool you off. There’s a large yard for you and yours to enjoy a special stay with games or building the perfect snowman. 


Upstairs you'll find the master bedroom with a king bed and a full bath, while the downstairs has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and an additional bathroom allowing for six people to sleep comfortably. If your clothes need a bit of a refresh after a long stay, take advantage of the washer and dryer downstairs. 


This home is close to Stowe Resort home to great trails and plenty of family fun. Snowmobiling abounds in the area in the winter, while summer gives way to plentiful biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and golf. Enjoy the local restaurant scene and take a drive to see all the covered bridges nearby. On the way to or from the chalet don’t forget to stop by either the Ben & Jerry's Factory or the Cold Hollow Cider Mill for some warm apple cider donuts. Book your dates now before someone else does to enjoy Stowe and this gorgeous chalet!

Family getaway.
Last September I took a sisters trip to Vermont and liked this place so much I booked it for me my husband and two adult children. The chalet is clean and comfortable and plenty of room for our family of four. Great time does not disappoint.

Great location fantastic view
We enjoyed our weekend away. The views are amazing from the house. The house was very clean and close to downtown. About 15 min to Stowe mountain resort. Nearby great restaurants. I had a little issue getting in and out of the claw foot bathtub. I would not recommend this house for kids due to the stairway. The house was very cute and I would definitely stay here again. Beds and linens were comfortable. Thank you for a nice weekend.

Great Gateway Place
I usually don’t submit any reviews but this place truly deserves it.House is very compact but at the same time it’s big.The beds are very comfortable ,specially the one upstairs is huge.Rooms are clean and spacious.But what is really play the huge role is view.The view is indescribable, the mountains,the place and moreover the air-so fresh and clean(who’s visiting from big cities will understand what i mean)The one issue we had is TV-it’s glitching sometimes ,so bring your computer with you if you want to watch some movies.Other than that 10/10

We had a great time staying at the ski chalet. The views are stunning and the house is clean, comfortable and in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect place in Stowe
We could not have asked for a more ideal place to stay in Stowe! Obviously the views from this house are amazing, but the house itself is also awesome & easy to get to. Super easy check-in instructions & guidelines for check-out sent ahead of time (love that) & we had zero issues that we needed to reach out to the property manager about. The house was super clean, great layout & incredibly comfortable. 15-20 minutes away from Stowe ski resort. There’s a supermarket & tons of restaurants close by. We’d 100% stay here again ☺️

Had another (2nd time) stay at this property. Beds were very comfortable and it had everything one would need for the week. Drive to Stowe was about 15 min and you can bypass the downtown to get there which make it very convenient.

This property was more than perfect! Easy access. It was stocked with necessities and clean! The views from the porches were top notch! The space was perfect for the 4 of us and certainly accommodating for another couple or a few kids. We had an extra bedroom that we didn’t use.

Great location with amazing view
This house has everything you need to relax while vacationing in Stowe. A nice touch in the master bedroom is a mirror that allows you to take in the mountain views without even getting out of bed. One word of warning: there is a neighbor with a rooster, so be prepared to be awoken early if you sleep with the windows open!

Cozy cabin in Stowe
We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin. The house was stocked with everything we needed (kitchenware, towels, sheets) and had a great view of Mount Mansfield from the downstairs and upstairs balconies. It's conveniently located--a few minute drive to downtown and to other restaurants in Stowe and about a 15-20 minute drive to Stowe mountain to ski. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire after a day of skiing. We visit Stowe as often as we can and would stay here again!

Ski getaway
Beautiful home for a ski getaway. Close to Stowe and perfect to come home to after skiing. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to make a quick breakfast or snack. We will definetly be back!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our first time in Stowe at the Chalet. The property and house were very clean, organized, well stocked, and in a great location. We had amazing sun rises and sunsets daily. We will definitely be back

Perfect Secluded Home Away from Home
My wife reserved this home for a visit in Stowe in late September. It's always a bit deceiving judging places by its photos. While the outside may not look the most inviting, the interior is very nice. Plenty of room to spread out and have some alone time, if needed. Kitchen was very nice and well stocked. The back deck was so inviting. Unfortunately we weren't able to use it. Wifi was good. Our son loves video games and we were concerned about the internet speed. But it was more than satisfactory. While the title says secluded the home is just outside Stowe. Since I am a photographer and hiker, I liked the fact that it was within minutes of two beautiful waterfalls. Oh, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything really worked out great here. I highly recommend staying here. And you'll Stowe and the surrounding area. You can easily and quickly zip around the entire state.

Great house for a family vacation
This house was perfect for our hiking vacation. The kids took the rooms in the basement and we had the fantastic master room upstairs. The house was fully stocked. There was a Shaws a short drive away, and plenty of restaurants as well.

Lovely stay in Stowe
The house is very comfortable and clean with lots of amenities. The owners have worked hard to make the guests' stay a pleasant and easy one. The house is located 3 miles from downtown Stowe. Guests should be aware that there is no bathroom on the main floor. There is a bedroom on the second floor with a bath with a beautiful secluded view, and two bedrooms and one bath on the basement floor. Parking is right in front of the house. Owners provide clear instructions. We had a great stay!
