The loft area for sleeping was very cozy, unique and the mattress very comfortable. "If you're going to Acadia, this is a great alternative from the overcrowded frenzy of Bar Harbor, or the overpriced chain hotels/motels around Mount Desert Island. Located just outside Southwest Harbor, this is a quieter corner of MDI with a little village that has a few stores and restaurants (most close at 8pm, so we didn't get to take much advantage). It's about a 15 minute drive from Bass Harbor Light, and about 25 minutes from Bar Harbor, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. The...

These were perfect to have a nature feel but with amenities to suit a day of sweating from adventuring in Acadian National Park! "This wonderful apartment is located on the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island, which was a big plus for us! As an added bonus, there is a grocery store (and a laundromat) 0.1 mile away. The beds and sofas are comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with all the bakeware, cookware, crockery, flatware and utensils you will need. The bathroom is tiny, but certainly serviceable. And the owners, Tim and Sian are regularly updating and improving the property. Overall, we had a delightful stay!"

"Quiet location in the woods was a wonderful spot to unwind after long days of hiking. Enjoyed the fire pit, exploring the woods, and we enjoyed the uniqueness of an A-Frame cabin in the woods. Vicki was an attentive, and responsive host. Provided us with fabulous hiking recommendations to explore parts of the park we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. "Enjoyed our stay. Cool location.. felt like we were at sea… looking out the windows we were right on the water. Enjoyed dock access. Tried fishing… not much luck. Cabin wasn’t fancy, but we expected a more rustic feel. Kitchen was small but functional. Bathroom and shower very small but functional as well. A/C worked well, was modern, and cooled down the cabin, as it was unseasonably hot. Check in and out instructions were very clear."
