Log Cabin on the River

Thank you for your interest in staying here. We are taking every precaution possible to ensure the safety of our staff and guests by using CDC approved sanitizers exclusively and we are disinfecting all door handles, switches, remotes, cabinets, appliances etc. Your cabin is self check-in with private (key code) entrance, full kitchen and full bathroom.

All amenities are open and operational at this time.

We recommend arriving here in a car as there is no convenient public transit/transportation to get to nearby attractions or to airports, train stations & bus stations.

Kindly note there is no good cell reception here and we recommend that you read up on all directions, check in information before arrival or print if necessary. You may not be able to access information on your cell phone on the grounds/parking on arrival.

Amazing hosts. Responsive! Everything was great! Lovely dreamy location right next to a serene river. Coffee in the morning and cocktails at night had an ambience like no other. Will book again!!

My wife and I stayed a couple of nights at the Log Cabin at the River and it was magical.The location is very private and Serene. We spent most of our time out on the covered porch. It rained one evening and it was very relaxing listening and watching the rain. Really enjoyed our stay.

This cabin is fabulous - excellent location, well-equipped and nicely decorated. The stream is soothing. We saw a deer and a gazillion fireflies. If thereā€™s a vacancy, book it quickly. You wonā€™t be disappointed.

Log cabin on the river is the place for you if you want to get away from the city. Easy check- in, close to Shenandoah National Park and easy access to the cabin. The cabin its self is right on a small stream with amazing views. Would highly recommend to friends and family..

Perfect stay for one night in a cabin overlooking a fast moving stream. Bed was comfortable and kitchen had what we needed. Only one small nit: the lights in the living room were so dim, it was hard to read or see. Other than that, we recommend this house for a rural getaway!

Very nice place. Rustic, but with a nice kitchen and bathroom. Had a great time by the fire outside and also using the wood stove inaide. Stream nearby is beautiful

A beautiful location way off the beaten path. Close to skyline drive. Very clean , property was as listed..no hidden surprises. The reading nook was perfect and you canā€™t beat a babbling brook right off your porch. Didn't love the added fees, but maybe all the properties have them.

Very nice accommodations. Needs more plates and dish towels. Had only 2dinner plates. One thin dish towel and a used sponge to wash dishes. That should be remedied since there is not a dishwasher. Also, only one face towel.

To start I must say the cabin was nice and the creek was awesome! Now things we had issues with were the lighting in the LR was dark. No overhead light. Also fridge ice machine does not work nor the microwave light worked. They only gave us 2 towels and 2 washcloths for 5 day stay, they did bring us more. Also there was no outside trash can to dump the trash from inside. I messaged the owner and they they said just message us, well that should have been mentioned on a check in sheet on the table and then there were no extra trash bags!. They had to bring those. We felt the kitchen could have been outfitted better.....only 3 plates, 2 tall glasses, and one steak knife. I think the owner needs to pop in and see the cabin every so often. Also some end tables in the LR would be nice so you dont have to put you drinks on the floor.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We love remote locations so this cabin a home run for sure! We were close to the NP which made easy access for hiking. We almost preferred not to leave the cabin to go hiking because the quiet solitude location with active stream bubbling was a treasure for sure! If you like to get away from people, and-still be close to the park this is a perfect location. We didnā€™t want to leave after spending 3 nights here.ā€™
