The Sunshine Cottage. Walk To Beach, Shops, Dining & Water Sports

These 4 quaint, authentic (built in 1940's)Key West 'Old Florida' cottages are cozy and very clean, and have been completely renovated. The saltwater pool, heated jacuzzi, 2 outdoor bar/grills in the fenced back yard compound (5000 sq. ft.) are shared between the 4 cottages. You won't have ANY screaming kids around this compound....just peace and quiet for ultimate relaxation. This tiny cottage sleeps 2 adults comfortably. Very small fenced back yard with each cottage..perfect for Fido. Romantic screened porch. Very quiet, dog friendly neighborhood. Plenty of parking on the compound. Each cottage has 2 bikes, 2 beach chairs, umbrella, beach buggy. It is a very short walk to the beach, dining, shopping and water activities. ONLY 2 PEOPLE PER COTTAGE.
Starting 2023, January is a 2 week or longer rental. February & March are 1 month or longer.
YOU CAN BRING A SMALL DOGGY (25 LBS MAX) THE PET FEE IS $150 PER PET AND CERTAIN BREEDS ARE NOT ALLOWED.

A 6 seater electric beach cart available to rent. It is street legal.
FREE beach parking and FREE John's Pass Village parking.
$700 for a week.

The world-famous John's Pass Village and Boardwalk is a short 5-10 walk away and gives you an oasis from the ordinary. This cozy fishing village has tempting restaurants and unusual shopping. You will find quaint shops that offer antiques, arts, crafts, clothing and jewelry.

Great place
Judy has thought of everything- lovely furniture and decor; close enough to the beach but far enough from the crowds; all the dishes you could use; top quality towels; the pool; bikes and beach equipment are a plus. Our second time staying here, will stay again.

Awesome Place to Stay!
We have stayed at several VrBos in recent years and this is definitely one of the nicest! Everything was clean and as pictured online. You could not ask for a better stocked kitchen and lots of useful things all throughout the comfy cottage. The location is perfect, close to the action but a little ways back from the main drag so you are not in the noise or traffic areas. Within easy walking distance to the beach and John’s Pass (shopping and restaurants.) Judy and Drake were quick to answer questions and handle any needs. We definitely hope to stay here again!

Our check-in was terrible. We could not get into the rental and were stuck sitting under the porch roof for over 90 minutes in the dark in a rainstorm trying to contact someone. Seems they forgot we were coming and never programed the door lock. The pool/hot tub did not work, water temp was about 60 deg., unusable. There were clumps of dust and hair under the bed and bath sink was dirty when we arrived. We never did see or hear from Judy, the host. Once we got in and settled however, we did have a decent stay.

Wonderful little piece of paradise!
This was a great spot close to the beach and John’s Pass but yet so quiet and relaxing. Our cottage was very clean, bed was comfortable and the pool area so serene and inviting. Our first day there was a cool 62 degrees but the protection of the trees around the pool area made it very comfortable to enjoy being outside. It was also wonderful to have all the beach supplies and bikes for our use. Judy was very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was perfect for us. We will definitely stay again!

Cozy cottage and nice stay!
The cottage was comfortable and owner was responsive to a heating request and a rep was sent to repair. We had an unusual cold front that hit Florida over the holidays. Overall the experience was very nice, quiet neighborhood. Easy access to beach, restaurants and grocery stores.

Loved this Tropical Paradise
Loved my stay here. Very comfortable and enjoyed the backyard pool and hot tub almost everyday. Very close to the beach as well. Very pet friendly so my dog also enjoyed our stay. We felt safe taking our walks in the neighborhood. Judy was a great host. I worried that the vacation would have to be cancelled due to Hurricane Ian but Judy was very flexible and accomodating. I ended up arriving a few days late and then extending my stay which worked out perfectly. Hope to return someday!

The cottages are kept impeccably clean. Met the two neighbors and had a great time with them. Great location! Judy was very friendly and was there if you needed anything! Recommend this property to anyone . No kids allowed. Made our vacation stay very relaxing.

The cottage was very clean, neat and welcoming. The area was peaceful and inviting. Judy and her husband are very kind and caring people. They made sure we had all we needed and more. I wil definately return to this gem near the beach. I highy recommed this place, if you are looking for a quiet, clean and peaceful place to stay on vacation. Great place with great location
The cabin was very clean and well appointed. It was a short walk to the beach and John's Pass which was a lot of fun with restaurants, shops and live music. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return in the future.

The Sunshine Cottage
Although it was cool and rainy for much of our week there, we still enjoyed our stay. The cottage is off the main drag so it is really quiet and peaceful, but still within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beach. The cottage was as advertised and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed meeting and spending some time with occupants of 2 of the other cottages. The hot tub was wonderful and the grills worked well. We will likely stay there again, beats those high rise condos for sure! The owners were available, friendly and helpful.

Tropical Paradise
Our stay at the Sunshine cottage was wonderful and very relaxing. The cottage was as described in the listing and we really enjoyed the extra touches included such as the bikes and the beach chairs and wagon. The location was amazing and very quiet, but was a short walk to the beach and John's Pass. We enjoyed the hot tub and beautifully landscaped pool area. We are hoping to come back soon!
