Great home on the bay!
We really enjoyed out stay at Sunset Retreat. The home is very attractive, comfortable and has an incredible view of the bay. The family enjoyed fishing from the dock, playing pool in the rec are and riding bikes that were provided. The property is fenced so our pups were safe and could enjoy the sand and sun!

Great bay view
We loved the view from the main living area. It was a non stop view that didn’t disappoint. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals and we ate all there except one lunch. Easy walk to the beach. Plenty of room and perfect with one dog accompanying us.

My family loved staying at this property. The pool, fishing on the dock, seeing the dolphins every morning and kayaking in the bag. Grandkids loved being able to kayak to the oyster beds and investigate. We will be staying here again, perfect size and so much for the kids to do!!

Great vacation stay
Great property, awesome view. 2nd time staying at Sunset Retreat. The house and dock were great. The fishing from the dock was not so good this time but we definitely had a great time.

We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, the pool, and fishing from dock and all the extras this house offered! Loved that it was pet friendly! We’ve been to SGI many times but never end stayed on the bay before and this was a nice surprise and very relaxing! Only went to the beach twice since the house had so much to offer.

Dirty!!! But decent.
After we cleaned the house it was more comfortable. Quiet location. Beautiful sunsets. Nice pier Hot tub has been neglected for a LONG time. We added water (H2O was below filters) added chemicals and scrubbed the scum line. Filters need replaced unfortunately we only rented this place because of the hot tub and sunsets. Comfy couch and beds. Great TV. Great kitchen fully stocked. The potential is there to have a truly wonderful rental but the cleaning crew needs replaced and the amenities need better maintenance.

Relaxing!
We totally enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset view from the back porch. We wish it wasn't as cold ( it was in the 30's at night ) but we still had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to returning in the spring.

Sunset Retreat (a little piece of paradise!)
Our stay was wonderful and relaxing thanks to the host supplying all the comforts of home. So quiet and peaceful with amazing views. Even our dogs felt right at home - thank you so much for allowing us to include them on our vacation. We only wish this place was closer to home so we could come visit more often!

WHAT A VIEW!!
We really loved this property!!! The view was amazing...BEAUTIFUL sunsets!! loved fishing on the dock, saw dolphins every day, relaxed in the jacuzi and we enjoyed the swimming pool!! The owner was great to communicate with - quick to reply to our questions. Had everything we needed to cook our dinners!

Very Relaxing Vacation
You can't go wrong staying here. For the most part, this is a great property. Heather is easy to communicate with and is very responsive. There are a few things that need attention and hopefully after the summer rental season, they will be taken care of. Those things are the tiles in the main living/kitchen area are loose in places and 1 of them is cracked and the sink's faucet on the dock is plugged up such that the water pressure is only suitable for washing your hands. The sprayer doesn't work, so cleaning up is very difficult. I had to bring a bucket of fresh water out there to clean up. As for fishing off the dock, the fishing is good but don't fish straight out because boats come zooming by close in and will snag your line. Ask me how I know. The only safe way to fish is off to the side away from the bay (left as you walk out). Even then, be watchful and don't cast beyond the white stake. Fishing like that, I was able to catch 3 keeper sized reds and a few trout. I also caught 2 reds that were too big to keep and 2 sea monster sized reds I couldn't get all the way in. I used a carolina rig and finger mullet steaks on a 1/0 hook, if that helps at all.

a very enjoyable week.
Nice property. a little inconvenience with water supply, but resolved quickly. Recreation area under house is very nice. Fenced yard for dogs was extremely convenient.

Quite bliss
House is as described. It was very clean and well furnished with everything you could need. The king size bed was very comfortable. A great area, perfect for sunsets, watching the boats coming in and out and dolphin watching. The dock was great for fishing from. There was new house construction happening next door but they were very respectful and quite when they could be. The only glitch was a water leak at the meter so we were without water for about 8-10 hours but it was fixed the same day. Communication with Heather was quick and easy. A very relaxing vacation.

Dolphins Galore!
Amazing. The house was clean and exactly as described. We loved jumping off of the dock, playing corn hole and pool, paddle boarding on the bay and watching the dolphins come right up to the dock. The view reminded me of a corona commercial! Very quiet and relaxing. Cannot wait to go back!

Spring Break
We had an excellent time at this location. The listing is very accurate and has all the accomodations one could possibly need for a relaxing stay at St.George Island. The kids fished off the dock every single day, even in bad weather. We also enjoyed the use of the bikes to explore the island . We are looking forward to a return soon!

Great place
Loved the location. We were there to fish and this allowed us to fish off dock, walk to surf, and take a 10 minute drive to launch our kayaks at the state park. My only criticism-and this is really minor- was the TV. We weren't able to connect to anything but a few stations and could not log into Netflix to watch any movie. We didn't try very hard and never asked the property manager to remedy, so it wasn't a case of lack of response on their part. Kitchen was VERY well equipped too!

Fantastic
The owners of this property have thought of everything. Right on the bay with unobstructed amazing sunset views. This property is great for small families with four legged friends. Close to everything that is St. George Island. The property next door was under construction but they weren't working during the holiday season. If you want tranquility with all the amenities, this place is for you. We had a slight problem when the pipes froze in unusually cold weather. Heather was immediately responsive and it certainly was a rare cold snap for Florida. Can't recommend this place enough.
