"Unfortunately our booked apartment accommodation was unavailable due to a gas leak. However, we were moved to a nice double room and given free breakfast to make up for this. We were also offered 50 % of dinner but the available dining slots were extremely limited so couldn't use that. It was a very comfy hotel, with a great shower, a pleasant mile walk to Keswick. I'd definitely stay again"

"Communication from owner was prompt from start to finish. The lodge itself is as described and in a lovely quiet setting, ideal base for seeing the north lakes.Lodge had everything you need for your break, local shops are 15minute drive away or pick up what you need on the way home from your day out. If you want a nice peaceful break this is the place. Would recommend."

"Had a great long weekend at the property. Had loads of stuff there to use the kitchen to its full potential. Was lovely and warm and everyone had plenty of space in the accommodation. We were able to celebrate Christmas with my mum who is going to Guatemala next month and won’t be there. A few tiny tweaks will make this a perfect let but already great as it is."

"Cant fault any aspect of our stay. From the beginning to the end it was excellent. Sarah is an amazing host and the communication from booking the property till the end of our stay was 5*. "I wouid recommend this property but would make sure other guests jnow there is nothing within walking distance and a car is needed to get ro the nearest pub/supermarket. The property was lovely but the blinds needed dusting, there were dirty towels in the washing machine and the laminate on the tables was taped up."

"We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful property in the Lake District. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and thoughtfully prepared. The location was perfect: peaceful and secluded, but only a short drive (or a long, scenic walk!) to some amazing views, great pubs, and some fantastic hiking trails. "I stayed Monday to Friday as I was working in Whitehaven. Kitchen had everything I needed, bed was comfy, nice reclining sofasvand good wifi. House was well located, took a stroll to the castle in the evening and the co-op supermarket v. close, quite big and with a good selection."

"Very nice place, we felt like at home here. Everything was clean. The apartment has everything you need, you can cook, you can relax. The town is beautiful. Shops literally across the street. Cheap parking right next to the apartment. The owners are very helpful and answer all questions very quickly. I would definitely go back to this place and I highly recommend it.
