"We all had a blast. Beautiful location. Cabin is spectacular. So worth the 6 hour drive. Should have stayed longer. We will be back for sure."

"We decided last minute to get away for a quick, midweek relaxation trip. We now wish we’d booked this cabin for a week! Check-in was a breeze, the cabin was spotless, and the western facing view of the lake was gorgeous at every hour of the day. The cabin is set back on a picturesque, tree-framed road with little to no traffic. We enjoyed morning walks with our coffee, and late nights around the campfire with our cocktails. (All firewood was provided!) We just can’t say enough great things...

"I was unfortunately unable to utilize my reservation to an illness to a member of the party I was going to be visiting during my stay so I had to cancel the trip. I contacted Matthew to notify him that his housekeeping crew would not need to clean the cabin after my presumed stay and he was kind enough to refund the cleaning fee from my rental. It was much appreciated!"

"Husband and i stayed here for a quick weekend getaway following a year of fighting cancer. This small town cabin was cute and clean! Plenty of bars, shopping and restaurants within walking distance. "

"We had a lovely and cozy stay! The backyard was just amazing and peaceful...had everything we could want. Only downfall was the mattresses in the bunkroom....very uncomfortable and one of the beds broke. Otherwise, a super place!"

"This was a perfect getaway. Near Hayward if you need anything, but still tucked away and secluded with access to trails. Very comfortable and clean."

"It was cozy and just perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed having a fire Friday and Saturday night. We loved all the shops and restaurants/bars nearby. We will definitely be back if we ever visit Hayward again. "

"Beautiful cabin on a sweet little lake. Very remote. I spent the weekend with just my pup. Great place, decorated perfectly, very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. If you need to get way from all the noise of the world, this is your place!"

"Our group of 9 friends had the best time at the Cattail Chalet. The space was beautiful, new & very clean. We fit comfortably & had lots a sleeping options. The big windows & view of the lake were spectacular. We saw lots of wildlife, including swans & playful little otter. The welcome binder was filled with thorough instructions for the house & helpful suggestions for the area. Brad was very responsive to all communication. We would definitely rent this space again."

"My husband, two sons (16 and 18) our dog and I spent two nights at this gem. Our sons arrived about a half a hour before we did as we picked up groceries in Hayward (about 20 minutes away). They had already started playing ping pong before we arrived. Once we arrived, the canoe and kayaks were put in the water and were used the rest of our trip. "The cabin was nice, we hoped to fish the lake but after arriving we learned that the lake is drained down 4 feet starting in September (not sure if this is yearly) so we were unable to launch our boat. We did find another lake close by to fish and found some big ones! The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals and kids loved playing with the toys they had."
