Tyler House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, House to steps to Lake Spofford

Tranquil, Relaxing, fun, magnificent sunrises and sunsets, premier NH lake, clean, great fishing, close to Brattleboro, VT and Keene, NH. Open house layout on ground floor, full kitchen, ample parking, comfortable accommodations, handicap ready.


This unit is equipped with modern kitchen appliances, clothes washer and dryer upstairs, gas barbecue grill, TV/satellite receiver/remote, 4 queen and 2 single beds, kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans of various sizes. The unit is heated/cooled by a forced air system.


We have installed an electric power generator to protect you in case of a power outage. The generator does a self-test once each week. If you hear it going on for about ten minutes, it is normal.


We provide linens, towels, pillow cases, bed covers, trash bags and paper supplies.




NOTE:THREE NIGHT MINIMUM STAY REQUIRED

Awesome week at the Tyler House
We had an amazing week at the Tyler House. The house and location are among the best on the lake. The host lives nearby and is happy to assist with any requests.

Our daughters birthday
Our daughter just turned 43 and is severely challenged and in a wheelchair requiring her helper Staff to assist. The house had the proper h/c accommodations for this without having the appearance of such. This is not a medical facility but, a wonderful camp on a beautiful lake that allows for your needs or just a great camp with no h/c needs. You would never notice such if you didn't need the accommodation. Right on the lake yet, with the privacy we wished for. We were able to go swimming right in front of the house so she could watch us and enjoy the time. As well, the roll in shower and proper sized bathroom was such a help. Most places do not understand what H/C needs are and it often leads to some uncomfortable situations. Thank you Anthony.

Return to Lake Spofford
Many years ago, our mom and dad vacationed summers at Spofford Lake with us kids, first at a cabin at Ware’s Grove, then at Lake Spofford cabins in a large white cabin near Tyler House. We are all much older now, ranging in age from 65 to 80. Vacationing together with our spouses for the first time in many years brought back so many wonderful memories, and Tyler House was the ideal location. From it’s location right on the water, to the well-supplied kitchen with all the utensils and cookware you will need (even for my chef sister) to the comfortable and spaciouss accommodations to the hot showers with more than adequate water pressure, Tyler House surpassed our expectations. The access to the beach allowed swimming at literally all hours, we enjoyed long paddles in the kayaks, and the screened porch hosted morning coffee and evening cocktails. We even hosted a BBQ one afternoon for our nieces and nephews, and the space and parking was more than adequate for the 30-or so of us. Finally, Anthony is a responsive host. My brother and sisters all join me in recommending Tyler House for your family vacation. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay at Lake Spofford for a month like our parents did. (Mike M.)

Amazing Stay
Amazing house , right on the water, with a lovely sunset view. Lots of nice spaces to sit inside, outside and on the balcony. The house is equipped with anything we needed - from smart speakers in every room and easy connections to smart devices, up to a starting kit for the morning coffee .

Perfect Location
My friend and I had a great girls getaway in March for our birthday’s. The house is perfectly situated between Brattleboro & Keene. This house is very spacious, clean & comfortable.

Wonderful Handicap Accessible Property
There aren't many truly handicap accessible properties to rent with a large family and this one was one of those hidden gems! With a sturdy ramp to access indoors, an open concept living space and a handicap accessible bathroom, we were able to gather everyone together for a long weekend for a vacation not too far from home. The home is right on the water for fishing, has access to a private beach with a fire pit, dock and kayaks and for the kids, there is the public beach with playground right next door. The beds and bedding were comfortable and there was that little extra attention to details like google assistant and charging cables throughout the home in case you forgot yours. Anthony was a wonderful host who is nearby so able to assist with anything you need. Close to Keene as well for all the normal college town activities and amenities. Would highly recommend this home for a family vacation. And the sunsets are killer!

Great Parking
Unexpectedly, our trip became a trip to attend two funerals. The porch was the perfect place to set up food for the guests who came back to the house. There was plenty of parking, which is generally limited for a house on a lake. The house itself was ideal for 4 generations with a bedroom and accessible bathroom downstairs.

The house is perfectly situated for all waterfront activities. Eating in was easy with a modern kitchen with lots of utensils,appliances and seating. Beds are comfy. One TV but it is set up for every channel you could want.

Lake House in the winter
We stayed here during mid February and while the outside air was cold at times the house was warm and inviting. It has everything you need to enjoy your holiday in a very peaceful setting. Anthony was an excellent host.

COZY, COMFY CABIN WITH A BEAUTIFUL VIEW
Tyler Cabin was a great place for a four girls' get away. The flowers on the porch and property were a lovely welcome. The amenities were as stated and Anthony Jr. could not have been nicer and more willing to go above and beyond if a question or request arose. Thank you, Anthony Jr. A few things to suggest: MIRRORS IN EVERY BEDROOM, cocktail glasses and bag clips would be nice to round out an otherwise very well equipped, modern kitchen. A reminder note to renters to dump coffee grounds in trash if using refillable pods might be a good idea.

A gorgeous property on a beautiful lake!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tyler House. The house is lovely. A little more rustic on th 2nd floor but it met our needs and we would definitely rent again. The only recommendation I would have is to put mirrors in all of the bedrooms. With only 2 bathrooms and 10 ppl staying at the house, getting ready was a little tricky. You would be silly not to rent this home while you visit Lake Spofford!

From inquiry, to driving up to this beautiful property, everything was "perfect."
Of course the picture of the Tyler Property on VRBO was amazing and inviting. The beautiful sunset over the lake was breathtaking. The rooms were spacious, the furniture comfortable, including the beds and the decor was nice..not overwhelming. All the appliances were attractive and worked beautifully. There was plenty of cookware, dishes and utensils, as well as plenty of quality linens. Plenty of parking, directions to the property we're excellent, and we couldn't have been more happy with "a home away from home." We would highly recommend the Tyler Property.

Perfect handicapped accessible cottage on a beautiful lake!
Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Tyler House in mid October. The accommodations were very nice. The best part was that there is a fully accessible "suite" that our daughter, who uses a wheelchair, found to be perfect for her needs! The house has everything that you will need to enjoy a restful vacation including beautiful lake views and an all around peaceful atmosphere! We hope to be able to visit again!

Exceeded our expectations!
What a perfect house for our women’s getaway weekend! The pictures looked great, but we are never quite sure until we get there. The house was better than we thought - big, newly renovated, and with comfortable beds. Right on the lake with a beautiful wrap around glassed/screened in porch. The beach is beautiful - too chilly for November, but definitely something to keep in mind for the future. Our group of seven agreed we would love to come back again.
