We had a wonderful weekend at Moose Lodge (ML). The owners were easy to communicate and worked to address our questions prior to and during our stay. We had a variety of ages and there was plenty for everyone to enjoy on the property (fishing, cornhole, hammocks, hot tub). Marble Falls is about 20 minutes from ML and definitely worth exploring. We also visited The Exotic Resort Zoo in Johnson City (about 30 minutes from ML), a surprisingly fun zoo experience; take the guided tractor tour, it’s worth it!
Things to note:
The lake is 176 steps down from where the cabins sit. The elevator will take you to the original waterline, but since the lake is down about 30%, it's an additional several, very steep steps, to get to the boat dock. Since we were there in February, we didn't spend much time by the water, but definitely something to note if visiting in the summer months.
The pictures and descriptions of the bedrooms and bathrooms on this site are a bit confusing; there is definitely room for 20 people but below is a more specific breakdown:
Cabin 1 (main cabin) --Room 1: 1 king bed (master bedroom/bathroom), full bathroom, Room 2: Queen bed and daybed with trundle, jack-and-jill bathroom, Room 3: 2 full size beds, shared bathroom; living room has a large, comfortable couch, the main kitchen and a table that seats 10 adults
Cabin 2--studio with a queen bed, full bathroom, daybed and trundle, kitchenette (tiny fridge)
Cabin 3--Room 1: king bed, full bathroom, Room 2: 2 queen over queen bunkbeds, full bathroom
