South Mission Beach is the closest access point for Dunk Island in good weather, otherwise there is an all weather boat ramp at Clump Point.
Formerly known as Taihoa Holiday Units, 24 Kennedy Esplanade at South Mission Beach is a beachfront holiday apartment complex with 4 ground floor self-contained apartments. Units 1 to 3 are studio style apartments which can accommodate up to 4 guests in each with use of the fold out sofa bed. The Studio Apartments are an open plan design with timber screens dividing the bedroom lounge from the kitchenette dining areas. A queen bed plus a sofa bed can be made up to accommodate up to 4 guests. Units 1 to 3 offer great views across the pool to Dunk Island.

Carparking for the apartments is located at the rear access to the property. There is no off street parking for boat and trailer however street parking is possible. There is also a common laundry for guest use.
