Lake Michigan beaches paired with a historic Victorian style located a short distance to downtown South Haven makes for the perfect Vacation retreat! The age-tested structure of yesteryear gives this special home the warmth and character while upgrades provide the way of life we desire.

The stereo system goes through the whole house, hook up your mobile device or turn on the radio or bring your favorite CD and enjoy your music!

There is only 3 blocks to Downtown shops, restaurants, farmer's market which is an ice skating area in winter. Very short drive to several beautiful beaches in town, the closest beach is South Beach which is most popular beach in town.

This historic Victorian house has 4 bedrooms PLUS one of the family room has pull out sofa couch and doors to close up make it private room, 2 bathrooms, and a bonus third floor that the kids can make into their hideaway during the course of your stay, There is 40" TV, Train table, bean bags, gaming rockers, and little kid's table with 4 chairs. The bonus third floor is perfect space for kids play games!

The kitchen and dining area are open-concept, with a double oven, 6 range gas burner, and plenty of counter space to enjoy family-style cooking! The dining room seats 8-10, and an additional 4 can eat with the family at the kitchen counter on bar stool.

The dining area open to a wonderful, 550 square foot patio with a build-in fire pit, There is plenty of seating outside on the patio for the family gather, mingle, and grill while enjoying the fire! PLUS!! A brand new set of BACKYARD DISCOVERY!!! Kids will enjoy the back yard playground!!! On either side of the house there is large yard for kids and adults to play. The home sit on a double lot on a very lightly traveled corner with shade provided by the beautiful trees.

Bedroom 2-upstairs, Queen bed. Brand new sleep doctor mattress.

Bedroom 3-upstairs, 1 set twin over full bunk, 1 set triplex twin over twin with trundle.

Bedroom 4-upstairs, Queen bed & full bed. Brand new sleep doctor mattress.

Living room - Queen pull out sofa sleeper and doors to close up and make it private.

There are two full bathrooms, one down and one up. both are very nice and large, the upper bathroom has a shower and a whirlpool tub, both toilets with their own door.

The living room is large and has two full size couches a love-seat, it has a 47' brand new 1080p smart TV. Free Wi-Fi, Netflix, and a DVD player!

The family room with fireplace and bookshelf, pull out sofa couch and has doors to close up and make it private.

This is a lovely home where family can gather and enjoy a wonderful week in South Haven! If you enjoy family cooking, dining, and enjoying time outdoors on the patio, this home is for you!

Great, versatile house
So happy with our stay. Great communication with the manager who quickly answered our few questions in a super friendly manner. Worked great for our group of mainly adults and teenager. We didn't have young kids this time, but the house is set up near ideally for children (3rd floor playroom, playset out back near chairs to keep an eye, ...). So, really, good for just about any age group(s).

Our family of 12 enjoyed our stay! The play structure was a hit with the kids and the adults enjoyed the patio, fire pit and barbeque! The upstairs play area for the kids was a hit! Location was very convenient to the lake as well as downtown. The owner is in process of many improvements and upgrades. Kitchen was spacious but could have used a few more larger pots and pans. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

Summer stay in SoHa
This Victorian house offers delightful nooks to explore on all floors. Antiques combine with contemporary features for a warm welcoming vibe. Spacious kitchen and eating area for our extended family of 11. Kids play area on the top floor as well the playset in the yard. Fire pit and comfy seating for the adults. Quiet neighborhood yet close to downtown and the beach. Host quickly answered request for additional propane. The 5 year old grandson announced we are coming back next year and staying for seventeen days!

Mini vacation for 3 Generations
Excellent overall experience! Well maintained beautiful home large enough for 7 adults and 3 small children. Very comfortable furnishings and large kitchen so we could all eat together. Kitchen appliances, flat ware, glasses, mugs, silver ware all first rate. Very comfortable beds and linens were super comfy. Outdoor play set was huge bonus for 2 year old. Very easy walk to restaurants and the beach. Highly recommend this house!!!

Great Place!
Brandy happened to be there when we arrived and went out of her way to accommodate us: installed childproof gates on the stairs, overheard us say that we had forgotten our coffee grinder and promptly ordered one to have at the house, which arrived the following day. She also helped us get set up with the toddler bed situations, and was overall warm, helpful, and went out of her way to make sure our stay was good. Our group of 10 had a wonderful experience! It's a large specious place with plenty of room. It has a large table that all 10 of us could eat at comfortably (rare in VRBOs), and a very large well-equipped kitchen.(rare in VRBOs) All the adults mentioned enjoying the comfort of the beds (rare in a VRBO).Outdoor space great for games and lounging.About 7 blocks from the beach and 3 blocks from town.Highly recommended! We hope to return next summer for our family vacation.

Michigan vacation
We loved the SOHA house and yard! Our grandkids played in the entire third floor dedicated to kids and in the swings/play area outside. We loved sitting in several spots both inside and outside. I especially enjoyed seeing the enormous Catalpa tree from my bedroom window. I highly recommend this house for a three generation family vacation.

Had a couple maintenance issues that could have been detrimental to our stay but Brandy and Chen were absolutely awesome and got everything taken care of to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Great house with a lot of space. Must stay for groups with small kids as the playground and playroom came in clutch for keeping the kids entertained. Within walking distance to beach and downtown restaurants and shops.

The home was exactly what we needed for a family vacation. It is within walking distance to downtown and the beach, which we did on multiple occasions. The neighborhood was peaceful and the provided baby items certainly helped lighten the load while packing. Highly recommend!

Great open kitchen/dining layout. Having a main floor bedroom was important for us because we had some older family members with mobility issues. Selling point was the large backyard with great play set for the kids- you can sit in the kitchen area and watch them play. We love this neighborhood- very quiet but walkable to the Farmer's Market and shops. The new home owner was very pleasant and responsive. We would definitely stay again!

Amazing Rental Property!
I stayed witha group of friends at this listing over Labor Day weekend. The property was exactly as advertised—spacious, clean, and was in the perfect spot to explore downtown and walk to South Beach. We made so many great memories around the fire pit and barbecuing in the backyard. I cant say enough good things about the host either. Issues were resolved promptly even after the rental period was over. I hope we can stay there again next summer!

Excellent home in a beautiful little city.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is older and has a few areas that need some small cosmetic attention. Otherwise this house has all you can ask for. Plenty of rooms, plenty of towels and blankets, good outdoor entertainment area, and full stocked kitchen. We rented golf carts to drive around town and that was the best choice. Yes the kids corner playground and beach are walkable, but it was a pretty far walk. We had zero issues while we stayed here. Never had to contact owner about anything.

Awesome house, awesome host!
Communication from the host was always quick and she was very accommodating! The house was beautiful inside and out. Tons of character and had everything you could need for a weekend in South Haven. Can’t beat a home bbq and coffee by the fire pit on vacation! Lots of room for people to sleep and still have privacy.

Great place for families
The house was great, laid out in a way that allowed our group to all spend time together and separately. The kids loved the third floor, they called it the "magical land" and also the playset in the yard. Close enough to easily walk downtown for the New Year's Eve festivities but very quiet, and the owners were astonishingly responsive. Would stay again any time of year!

The Perfect Christmas
We rented this home for a special family reunion Christmas. I have 4 adult sons, and it was the first time the younger 2 boys had seen the older 2 boys in 15 years. We were pleasantly surprised to see the Christmas lights on the house, and a Christmas tree in the living room area complete with a gas fireplace. Chen was a very gracious hostess, and called me promptly upon making the reservation to review details. She gave my family an extraordinarily generous gift in honor of our special occasion, which will be cherished. . The home is picture-perfect for a family Christmas and the photos on VRBO do not capture its beauty and charm. There is plenty of room for sleeping, and a full bath on both the 1st and 2nd floors. If you’re looking for a dream kitchen to prepare a holiday meal in, this is a novice chef’s jackpot! It’s quite stunning with its tiled countertops, 6-gas burner chef’s stove, and double ovens. If you plan to do some baking, you may want to bring some cookie sheets, cake pans, or muffin/bread pans, but otherwise you’ll find just about everything you need. I, personally, enjoyed the enormous kitchen, and took away lovely memories of making meals and baking with my boys and their girlfriends for Christmas. The beds are comfortable, and the TV area has a pull-out, and can be made into a private space for sleeping in with curtained French doors. The upstairs bathroom has ample room, a private toilet within it, and a beautifully tiled whirlpool bath, and rainfall walk-in shower. The downstairs bathroom has a seated shower and handicap accessible bathroom, and there’s a brand-new model washer/dryer in there too. To perspective renters bringing a wheelchair (WC) bound person: The 1st floor bedroom is not WC accessible. If the person can walk from the door to the bed, they would be ok. Otherwise, they may be better accommodated in the TV area with the pull-out bed and curtained French doors. This is an historic home, with beautiful renovations which we found to be a perfect place to spend our Christmas holiday. There are plenty of lovely surprises for everyone, like a reading room & fireplace on the 2nd floor and a game room on the 3 rd floor equipped with a PlayStation 3 and colorful chairs. We brought board games and had a great time sitting around the dining room table together having lots of laughs! I highly recommend this beautiful home! Thank U, dear Chen!
