Daisy Glen Retreat: Private indoor pool in Hocking Hills

Welcome to Daisy Glen, a vacation rental that will leave you with priceless memories. This meticulously maintained single-owner home in Hocking Hills has been opened to the public for a once-in-a-lifetime short-term rental experience.

Daisy Glen has been owned by the same family over 40 years. While it has been meticulously maintained over the 40 years, it could use some updates. We have been gradually renovating the home.

The home consists of 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, an indoor pool maintained at 80 degrees, and 4 amazing fireplaces (including one in the pool room and one on the deck). It also features over 3,000 square feet of outdoor decking and sits on almost 20 acres.

Guests have ample parking on the driveway and parking pads in front of the home. The driveway is steep, and while it is paved and maintained, AWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended if you're booking during winter.

We are available via phone call/text or messages. We have 24 hour maintenance as well.

Bed Setup: The second floor includes a master bedroom with a king bed, guest bedroom 1 with a bunk bed, a twin bed, and a trundle, and guest bedroom 2 with a king bed. The entry floor features a shared guest bedroom with two queen beds and guest bedroom 5 with a queen bed. The lower level living room has a futon, and we also provide 2 air mattresses.

The pool is heated and maintained at 80-85 degrees to keep humidity levels manageable and prevent mold in the house. An outdoor 8-person hot tub on the back deck is maintained at 104 degrees for guests who prefer hotter water.

Pets come with a $150 cleaning fee. We do not permit pets in our pool or pool room. We do not offer late/early check in.
Property is available for small events and weddings WITH permission. Contact Host for additional details. We can accommodate roughly 30-35 people for small weddings. We do have limited parking and nowhere for tents, as we are on a hill.

Beautiful home with an amazing 360 view
Many features to entertain you and your guest for the duration of the stay. Rented for my wifes 40th birthday and everyone was blown away by the house and the view in the hills. Already discussing another stay in the future.

Family birthday celebration in the Hocking quiet
This is a beautiful property, sequestered in relatively neighborless, city-lightless country near Hocking, which our family used to celebrate mom's 70th birthday.The pool was a great diversion and all the rooms were above average in comfort. In a half star system we might give 4 1/2 stars, as neither the gas fireplaces nor the outdoor grill could be made to work, but these issues are more fyi for subsequent guests than a suggestion that they detracted from the happy time that our family had here. Our host was very responsive throughout.

Perfect 60th Birthday!
The house was the perfect setting to gather the family for my husbands 60th Birthday. The indoor pool is kept at a perfect temperature for swimming and enjoying the pool area. The fireplace in there was a great. The little ones could warm up by the fire and cooked marshmallows. That is probably where we spent the most time. The kitchen was equipped with more than I expected. The beds were all very comfortable. Are there parts of the house that need a little love? Yes of course...it's a house they always need a little something done. If little things are going to bother your trip you are traveling with the wrong group. You should be enjoying what you have. We celebrated my husbands 60th Birthday and it was outstanding! When we had questions the host was very quick to respond. We grilled steaks on the deck. The family took full advantage of the many games that were in the house. My only regret? My husband wasn't born a few weeks earlier so we could have enjoyed the beautifull fall foilage.

Overall great experience but for cost, would have liked to seen some better amenities. Specifically the grill and bathtub off the kitchen. The grill was unusable and the bathtub had wires coning out of the faucet.

Family weekend
The house worked well for the ten of us. Plenty of room for everyone. The one bedroom with the twins and bunks would be problematic if you had all couples or large single adults. My brothers wife couldn’t go so he slept in there on the bottom bunk, otherwise it would have been more problematic. Host provides amble firewood for fireplaces and propane for the grill and gas fire pit. She was very responsive to our questions over the weekend. As mentioned in other reviews, the decks need some work, but they’re still HUGE and provide lots of sitting area. Was a great weekend with family. Close to trails and about half an hour from canoe/kayak rentals that were fun.

Relaxing Rain or Shine
This is the perfect location to stay whether you want to do the Hocking Hills trails or relax at this beautiful home with an indoor swimming pool. No need to worry about the weather! Local eateries were great, especially the pizza place down the road. Our family had a great vacation! There was one bathroom that needed some work, but the owner is aware and working on it.

Perfect..Family...Food...Fun...and the Pool!!!
Our stay at this property was perfect. We were able to keep the entire family under one roof including our pets. We had group breakfasts, lunches and dinners with plenty of space for us to all participate in cooking and could all sit together as well. I can't say enough positive things about the pool. We swam every day and played so many games....having access to an indoor pool has no price tag...it was so much fun. The hot tub was large and enjoyed by everyone. The deck space was like no other.....we enjoyed every single minute of this incredible property. We rent every summer and this is by far our favorite. The memories we made here are priceless. The host checked in on us to make sure we were OK and we most definitely were....this place truly is amazing!!

Great family get away
We had 7 children between 6-10! The indoor pool was fantastic! We also enjoyed hiking in the area and being able to prepare our own meals! Three suggestions that could have made our stay even better- Card table so all 16 of us could eat together, blind or window cover in one bedroom and a few more pots to cook with. We had a fantastic family weekend together!!

Memorial Weekend Mini Vacation

Unique house and experience, in need of professional maintenance
The convenience of an attached and private indoor pool is unparalleled. The family had a lot of fun, and the house atop a massive hill was a surprise to all, offering a unique experience overall. Unfortunately, the house needs significant maintenance. Numerous doors and locks do not latch or open, trim pieces are missing from the pool, the indoor hot tub jets do not turn on, the master bath faucet does not work, and an electrical switch plate was extended with masking tape in the main room. The AC in the master was also not working during our stay. For the premium price of this property, we expected better.

10 year wedding anniversary trip
The house is amazing, great location and very private! This was a trip for our anniversary and we took our dogs. The house was very over the top for just 2 people but was less expensive then flying somewhere and having to board our dogs. The pool and hot tubs were amazing!! The house was a little dirty but more like stains on the carpet then dirt. However, we didn't mind the stains. It's a light carpet so everything will show and since we also took our dogs we felt more comfortable then if it was super clean and we had to tip toe. There were less amenities then some places I've gone to, no sugar in the Coffee Bar or kitchen at all but there are close stores if you do need anything. I reached out to Rachel with a question during our stay and she got right back to me, very responsive. As someone else mentioned, there are a few doors that don't lock but we weren't too worried about that during our stay. Really a great time and hope to book again in the future but maybe with more people next time! One of our best trips.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Great architecture, plenty of bedrooms, nice kitchen and the indoor pool is very nice. The property grounds are very appealing with the house situated at the top of a large hill. We will make future plans to stay again!

Unforgettable Family Vacation
We were so excited for this long-awaited, much-need trip! There was truly a space for everyone, for sleeping, relaxing, or entertaining. The home is so beautiful and laid out well for a large group. We utilized each space of the home. The pool was incredible, the fireplaces, beautiful decks and outdoor spaces were too. Memories for days! Highly recommend!

Thanksgiving with Love
Great place for family get aways! We enjoyed our time at this beautiful estate. The pool and hot tub were amazing. The sitting area with all games and books was very nice and well used by our family as was the game room. Lack of curtains on the bedroom entering the pool table space and the room over looking pool were bothersome. One of the beds had sheets on the bed that were not clean when we arrived. The kitchen was lacking some basic serving and cookware we find regularly when we stay in rentals. Over all a great experience we would recommend.

The property is great especially the pool area. Just areas around the pool could use more mats as it's slippery. The bedroom upstairs that butts the pool area needs room darkening shade and gets quite warm. Kitchen sink does not drain well. No propane in tanks but property manager brought them as soon as we notified them. We used the outside fireplace and one issue was the pool area gets smoky. There are 3 doors that do not lock. Overall though, the property is great for a group gathering and we would rent again.
