The house was fine, it was big and clean, but the host was greedy and deceitful. After staying at the house over 24 hours with no power, no indication of when it would be back, and no communications from the host even after several attempts to contact, we had no choice but to go somewhere else with power (someone in our party has a CPAP and couldn't do another night without it, and we had to get ready for a wedding which required showers and outlets) - I let the host know we had no choice but to leave, and still no answer until several hours later when the power came back on (2 days into our powerless reservation at this point), he said it was back on and he would not refund any of our stay, even though we had no choice but to pay for somewhere else to stay with power, and was very rude about it. I know this was not his fault and he had no control over losing power after a hurricane, but to deny even a partial refund in that situation is unreasonable, electricity is a necessity and comes with the reservation. Luckily the new place had a great and understanding host and let us cancel with a refund so we didn't have to pay for two places. Also the toilet in the master bath was locked which was irritating, the whole upstairs had to share one bathroom which is not what the listing says; and he charged a large cleaning fee and we had to wash/dry/clean everything ourselves before checkout, most do one or the other, or both with a small cleaning fee.
