"We stayed in this rental for the month of Jan 2025. It was very comfortable and well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the large grill in the patio for cooking. The best feature was the convenient location - 12 minutes to Siesta Key Beach or downtown Sarasota, 15 minutes to St. Armands and Lido Beach, walking distance to grocery and drug stores, a few restaurants, and Barnes and Nobles. "This is a clean, cozy place that's a 1-2 minute walk to the beach. We wanted to be very close to the beach but not pay for a beachfront location. This place was perfect. "This place is very small. I would not stay here again with more than one other person. Bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen. No where to put your wet towels or swimsuits. Pool was almost never at the correct temperature. They came to fix it but I had to tell them every day. Overall a lot of money for not a lot of amenities."

"My wife and I had an excellent five day get away. The rental was super nice, close to the beach, nice outdoor cooking area, nice heated pool. Just as described and we plan on returning. Close to anything you may need and in a quiet area, it honestly checked all of our boxes. Only one suggestion: The pillows desperately need replaced. "

"Mint house is a great choice to stay because it is walking distance to all sorts of restaurants and shops. Near the stadium. The staff are courteous and just nice! The only slight negative is the lack of parking so it pays to pay for valet at mint house and that is $35 a day. All parking around is only for 2 hours."

Outdated hotel in an amazing location

"Would be an excellent choice if it wasn't so so outdated. The location is awesome, the beach amazing. The bar and patio area are much nicer than the rest of the hotel. The rooms have nice beds, good shower and pillows and lining. But the overall look of the decoration, walls etc bring you back to the 80's.....the layout is from a roadside motel, with outside corridors and the only window that one on the side of the entrance door. Front desk is also very old and outdated. Hopefully some fund will agree to invest a few hundred million dollars on a revamp of the property and bring it back to full glory Also please be aware of the quite high resort daily fee."
