"The location was beautiful, the sounds of nature were all we wanted and we got exactly that. Living in densely populated Long Island we very seldom get this type of privacy and time alone with nature anymore. The home itself had everything we needed, and everything felt so thoughtful it almost seemed curated. Host was very friendly and accommodating which made it all the better. My only regret or negative was that we only stayed a couple of nights."

"Cozy cottage!! Definitly a place to relax and rest! Very clean with almost everything you need to cook inside or out. I love to cook on an open fire! This cottage even had a grate to go over the fire, even though we didn't find it until our last night there... lol."

Although we visited the town's public beach one day, we did appreciate having a private area on the beach. The host was great with communication. There is plenty to do in the area - our family went Horseback riding at Circle B Ranch, rail biking riding in North Creek, and took a summer ski lift ride up Gore Mountain. "We really enjoyed our stay and the views were awesome. We’ve been vacationing in the Adirondack Mountains for many years but didn’t know that Birchwood Cottages was a place that you could stay. We’ve always stayed at the Maple Leaf up in Schroon Lake. We now plan to make Loon Lake a yearly thing."

"Arrived around 5 on Saturday. Great location. Once I figured out how to open key holder, we moved in. We enjoyed our cabin, found the information folders helpful. We had a nice fire and enjoyed our stay. Our suggestions for improvement. The light in the main room was very bright. A dimmer light switch would have been appreciated. Would like to have had a reading light on both sides of the bed."

"Amazing cottage, lots of room, big open spaces, excellent kitchen and dining area, 2 fireplaces outside, outdoor patio with furniture. Fans in most rooms, huge beds, nice bedding, extra bedding and pillows, rooms were decorated well with a cottage theme. Full bedroom downstairs with king bed, downstairs also has a game room, sitting room, and washer and dryer. There is no TV on the 1st or 3rd floor, only on the 2nd floor, with a fire TV app. The property is large and quiet, we saw lots of deer...

"My friend and I had a wonderful relaxing week in the woods. The cottage was clean and cozy. Someone was there to meet me when I arrived to be sure I had everything I needed. It was quit chilly this week, but we used the little space heater to keep warm. There is a big wood stove, but we didn’t use it. We love kayaking everyday and exploring fun things to do in the area. The lake is so beautiful and clear for swimming and kayaking, and no one was using the shared beach, but us! We loved rail...

"We were lucky to find this house during the eclipse. It has multi-levels so groups could divide. Everything was as described. All needed kitchen items were available. The beds were very comfortable, and bathrooms were good. Lovely, quiet property to sit or play. Only issue was unexpected unplowed snow-covered, very long, slightly upslope driveway upon arrival, which then iced. Highly recommend this property which would especially suit 2 family groups. Nearby lake was also lovely."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Birchwood Cottages. The cabin was very quaint, clean and well kept. The pool table and ping-pong table in the rec room were a fun plus and the location was great and very easy to get to. Communication with the owners was excellent as well. We called to ask a question and received a call back immediately with the information that we needed. All in all, this was a very good value for the money."

"Had trouble unlocking door because I was not familiar with key fob. Easy after that. Beds were very comfortable, even the sleeper sofa was. The coffee pot didn't work, but I didn't bother to notify Patrick as I was the only person that wanted hot coffee. Nice tight screened in porch, no bugs. Will be visiting that area again."

"We had such a relaxing weekend! Perfectly located, close enough to lake George to drive in for the day, but far enough out that you’re able to disconnect from busy life. Would love to come back in the winter to enjoy some skiing!"
