"We only stayed 2 nights and it was quiet at night. Everything was as advertised. Check in and out couldn’t have been easier. If I stayed in Rockaway Beach again I would look for a place with a view of the ocean from the room."

"We had a great time staying in this cabin. Made some good memories with fam and friends. Waking up to the fresh salty ocean smell, hearing the soothing waves, watching sunset in the nice windy yet cool weather. Our dogs enjoyed the sandy beach and the cabin too! The cabin/house itself is cozy and has everything a traveler needs. It is definitely a little rustic and has small leaks under the bathroom sink, but overall didn’t hinder the quality of our stay. "

"The view was gorgeous and the home was very comfortable and well-appointed. Roger was accommodating with a couple of requests we had. We enjoyed our stay very much!"

"Well cared for and clean older updated home. Fishing and kayaking for kids 6-12 was perfect with nearly no current. Had so much fun with the ping pong table. House was very spacious with beautiful, old decor. Plenty of games and a variety of books. Loved our stay and would definitely come back. "

"This was our second stay at Heron’s Hideway. The location is wonderful on a peaceful, beautiful lake and yet close to Florence a charming town with good shopping and many great restaurants. The hosts are very accommodating and ensure your stay is perfect. The provided kayaks allow you to get out onto the lake.We hope to return and highly recommend!"

"This was an amazing experience. It is a beautiful yurt, with a great bathhouse and a gorgeous sauna. There was a nice sitting are right out front to have a cozy fire and enjoy our early morning. We did have a bit of a hard time finding the driveway but it was easy to get in touch with someone to get us to the location.I would recommend this yurt stay to anyone looking for something different but spectacular. Nature at its best without the bugs."

"This cabin really takes you back... from a working percolator coffee maker, toaster, & stove, to the super cute blowdryer! Breakman's quarters is an end unit, & has a large, modern walkin shower. Nice water pressure. Kitchen has a working retro-looking fridge & microwave. Easy to access door code & ice available onsite. We enjoyed the view of the lake from the dining table & the adirondack chairs on the lawn. Its August, so many plants & grass have died back, & no train went by on our visit....

"Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. Beds were comfortable enough for decent sleep. Shower was small but functional. Driveway definitely could fit two normal sized cars, bumper to bumper, although was a bit narrow. Quite close to the beach access point."
