Sister Bay Log Cabin - Recent Remodel!

We invite you to stay in our lovingly restored vintage Door County cottage. Historic, fresh and charming describes this remodeled log cabin built by a Norwegian immigrant in 1938.

This home is ideally located along the desirable Bay Shore Drive in Sister Bay! A short 5 minute walk into town allows you to take advantage of the park, marina, beach, boutiques, restaurants, ice cream / coffee shops and more, then retreat to the private quiet cabin to sit, relax and unwind. Additionally, we are centrally located in the county making visits to Gills Rock, Ellison Bay, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Egg Harbor and Bailey's Harbor all within a short drive (5-20 min).

This lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bath, full kitchen, cottage provides everything you'll need for a pleasant and relaxing stay. First floor: bedroom, open family / dining room, bathroom and kitchen. Upstairs: spacious bunkroom.

A large wrap around deck and front yard is a relaxing place to gather with family and friends...enjoy your morning coffee watching the people of Sister Bay pass by, grill / dine on the back deck, sip an evening cocktail watching the sun set over the bay, then end your day with a bonfire, smores and a little star gazing.

We host guests year round and ensure your comfort with a whole house furnace and central air conditioning. Please come soak up all four seasons in Sister Bay. We hope to see you soon.

Note: For safety and security purposes, one outdoor camera is located on the property. It is mounted and clearly visible on the rear exterior of the cabin. It monitors activity in the parking area.

IMPORTANT:
* We are PET FRIENDLY for approved dogs with a reservation.
* Max Occupancy is 5 people / 2 cars per our permit with the village of Sister Bay.
* We extend a warm welcome to all guests in our home. Please do not attempt to violate the basic house rules related to: occupancy, pets, smoking or parties etc. and put us all in an uncomfortable position.

Beautiful property in the perfect location. Walking distance to everything in Sister Bay with a peekaboo view of the bay from the front porch. This is the smallest space we've rented for our family of 5 (plus a dog this year!) but it worked out fine. Three kids (10, 8, 6) were comfortable upstairs in the bunks. We used the grill multiple times, and did s'mores in the fire pit on two of our nights as well. The only thing we overlooked, which is clearly noted on the listing, is the lack of laundry on site. That was a first for us. So we used Sister Bay Suds laundromat in the middle of our stay. It took an hour and about 7 and got us through the rest of our week. Easy! Owners were great. No feedback here. Highly recommend.

Very clean and quaint little house. It's upper level was a great space with two queen/twin bunks. Very cute for children. The location is great, 5 minute walk to Sister Bay.As of our stay, there are not laundry facilities. Was told after we arrived, "it was in the works".There is a laundromat in town.

What a great stay for my husband and I and our pups. This cabin was stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring around Door County and a short walk to see the sunset.

Such a cute little cabin as advertised. Well stocked with essentials. Great space for our family of four for the weekend. My kids loved the bunk beds, coffee, creamer and shower essentials provided. Communication was clear and made the stay easy. The place was even available for early checkin though we didnā€™t arrive until evening. Within easy walking distance to town. Would absolutely stay again.

Excellent place!

I stayed by myself with my puppy and it couldn't have been more perfect. The remodeled cabin was beautifully decorated and so charming. The furniture was very comfortable and practical. Everything was very clean. The owner was so kind and communicated well with me before and throughout my stay. The property is in a perfect location, just 1/3 of a mile from downtown Sister Bay. It was so easy to walk there. I loved every part of staying there and will return again and again.

A cozy & comfortable cabin

We wanted to experience the cherry drop on New Yearā€™s Eve in Sister Bay and also wanted to enjoy the peace and calm of Door in the winter. This cozy cabin was within walking distance of the town for the Cherry Drop and a short drive to parks and hiking trails. The stay was perfect!

Great stay in Sister Bay

We loved this cozy cabin. Everything was as pictured, super clean, and walkable to downtown Sister Bay. We had everything we needed. We didnā€™t have our kids with us this stay, but the upstairs in this cabin would be great for kids as well. This is such a great Door County location! We highly recommend!

Great location

House was very clean. Owner's suggestions for dining, etc. were great. Appreciated the comments. The location is wonderful -- we walked to town and to a great coffee shop called Base Camp -- wonderful coffee and fresh pastry. Would definitely return.

This is an absolutely beautiful cabin that we stayed in for the week. Very clean and welcoming inside and out. All of the little extras were available in case you forgot something. Very comfortable sleeping accommodations as well as sitting/relaxing with the indoor furnishings. We loved the wrap around deck, as we spent some late nights out there. The front porch was perfect to catch the sunsets between the trees. Michelle was great to work with and always kept in contact. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Darling Property -- Fantastic Location!

This is a darling, historic cottage within walking distance of downtown Sister Bay. There is also a bit of a view of Lake Michigan from the front firepit area and we enjoyed watching the sunset each night! The property owner has thought of everything to ensure one's full comfort and it was spotlessly clean. We mentioned we were traveling to S.B. to celebrate a couple of birthdays and she left us a balloon, card and a cake; it was extremely thoughtful and was such a fun surprise. Highly recommended!
