"We loved the location, and it's was fun to visit with the animals. Wish we were able to sample some of the chicken eggs. There is a bit of deferred maintenance, some water damage in the kitchen. Would also have been great if there was a hair dryer available, especially as the weather gets colder. All in all a fun stay at a farm with a great location."

We were able to book this location in the nick of time and we just cant say enough good things about the location, the views and Mr. And Mrs. Layne. "Our trip with our young adult college students went so well in large part due to the amazing space, well-stocked, and hospitable accommodations. We had room for large group gatherings and sharing meals together and quiet space for each student. The grounds and scenery are gorgeous. Well-maintained home and kind host. Wally even helped me unload as well as give me a tour of the home so I knew where everything was at. We definitely recommend this stay!"

"This was our fifth time staying at this adorable farmhouse! Very cozy and clean and minutes away from Massanutten. Typically we drop the kids off to snowboard and we go explore the neighboring towns! Cute wineries, a lavender farm, and JMU near by! "

"Tough place to find when we arrived at night, but reading the reviews i knew this. I would recommend a sign at the "Y" in the drive way to point to the house. The house itself was very nice. There is definitely a smell of dogs in the house so if that is an issue, this may not be your place. I was not able to utilize the outdoor spaces or the river because of a storm. I was there for a JMU finction and it was in a great location, far enough yet close enough. Again the only issue is the dog smell,...
