1810 Brook Side Mill/House / EV Level 2 Charging on Site

This wonderfully old and tastefully renovated small mill features a warm charm combined with many inviting modern amenities including EV Level 2 charging. Three levels with bedrooms and baths on each level, comfortable furnishings, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, "the mill" is well equipped for your getaway enjoyment. A picnic table and gas grill are provided to make that outdoor get together special. The house sits on 2 plus acre grounds alongside a year round stream just 2 miles from the Village of Shelburne Falls. Buckland Recreation Area with free playground and new outdoor swimming pool (pool fee) is just across the way. This centralized home base lets visitors enjoy the Western Massachusetts area and Interstate 91 is a handy10 miles away. Sight see the many area attractions or simply relax with family and friends. The brook side screened in porch is a unique feature to be enjoyed many months of the year. For the more adventurous, there is ample hiking, biking, rafting/kayaking , zip lines, skiing/boarding. Whether you are staying for a couple of nights, a week or more, you will find this a comfortable 210 year old repurposed property a nice home away from home to enjoy the "Berkshires". A perfect choice for parents visiting family members at one of the many education centers.

Fabulous home!!
This is our 3rd time staying here, we love this historic home, it is in very good condition. The home is very clean, well stocked, the layout is very good and the communication with the host is also very good. We love the brook going by. It is close to Smith College where our daughter goes to school. We also enjoy the many other places and things to do in this area. Even after our daughter graduates I can see us coming back to this home and part of Massachusetts.

Great place
I agree with all the other comments about what a wonderful place this was to enjoy a few days in the Berkshires. Everyone had their own space and plenty of room. The home is well stocked and very clean. Great location close to Shelburne falls. Thanks for accommodating our extra night at the last minute!

The grounds on this property is exceptional. Plenty of room for Bocce ball. The house was great! Their were 6 of us and we cooked inside and we used the provided grill out side also ate at local restaurant, the Blue Rock which was great! The place was nice and clean, and plenty of room for all of us to stretch out, play games and talk!

Highly Recommend! Wonderful Retreat!
This stay is one of the best I have enjoyed using VRBO! From start to finish it was seamless. We loved that the house was historic and the renovation was amazing!! The moment we walked inside we were at home. Some amenities, like the portacrib available, weren’t even listed. The owners thought of everything. Communication with the owner was excellent. The house itself is wonderfully decorated, stocked with everything you could possibly need and comfortable. Our family used all three levels and everyone loved the privacy it allowed when needed. Having a bathroom on each level was such a huge advantage since we were all there for a family wedding down the road. Location was excellent. Close to many things but also secluded enough with enjoyable views. Sitting on the screen porch listening to the babbling Brook was a real treat. It was so relaxing to know the childproof gates were available since my grand children were there. That was a real Plus. Great stay! Great owners! Great deal! I would Not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you for everything, especially the thoughtful gift you left us!

Babbling Brook
We were delighted with our rental house that was tastefully put together, beautiful hardwood floors, 3 bedrooms and baths each on separate floors for more privacy for everyone. It is locate near many hiking trails and close to a quaint town. The country setting and babbling brook passing nearby was an escape from all the noise in our world.

3 floors of fabulous
Clean, responsive host, 1 bedroom & 1 bath on each floor, beautiful quiet setting, near quaint towns & amenities like grocery stores, gas stations & restaurants, not far from I91. We stayed here to attend our kids' college graduation near Amherst and this location was perfect for that. It was close enough to get to graduation events on time yet away from the traffic and graduations crowds.

Great for a family
We spent a long weekend here with two kids and one set of grandparents. The layout of this house was perfect- every level has a bedroom, bathroom, and some seating space so there was always a way to have some folks nap while others hang out. The playground right across the street was also great, as was the proximity to town.

Love this place!
This was our second time staying in this lovely 1810 mill house. We love it. The sound of the creek is fabulous. Having 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms is very helpful with our family. Our youngest is at Smith College so this works beautifully for us. The location is wonderful, there are things to do in all directions. Shelburne Falls is a very nice little town nearby. Communication with the host is very good. It is very clean with all you need for your stay. We highly recommend this lovely home!

Impeccably clean when we arrived. Felt newly renovated - freshly painted walls, cabinets, great lighting. Ample linens and towels. Wonderful light and views from windows. TV in great room would have been a bonus, mattress a little soft for our preference. Overall, a great stay!

Fall at the Mill
We had a fantastic stay at the Mill this fall- our second visit there. The setting is beautiful, with a river in back framed by colorful trees. We hiked the Fire Tower trail that was listed on the house info sheet and it didn't disappoint! We cooked in mostly, and the kitchen is well appointed and comfortable. A clean and charming property overall, and the host excellent in communicating with us.

Stayed at Tim’s place last weekend with 2 friends. The place was great. Clean and very organized. 3 BR,s and baths each on their own floor was ideal. We agreed any of us would stay here with our families when in the area again. Really appreciate the ease of communication with the owner too.

Green River Festival!
We loved our stay at this sweet house on a brook just a short drive to charming Shelburne Falls. It was the perfect getaway for our Music Fedtival weekend! Loved the 3 bathrooms for 3 couples! Hope to return next year!

We keep coming back!
Have rented here many times over the past three years, mostly in winter months, and hope to keep coming back. House is always amazingly clean, communicating with Tim the property owner is always super easy, and we’ve really started exploring more and more of the area. This property was beautiful, easy and perfect for our quick weekend getaway. We have friends who live in the area and this was a great place for us to stay that was close to the town and close to their home. We can’t believe they rent this place!
This property was so charming and clean! It’s rare to find a property with such historic integrity AND modern conveniences—orignal beams and a bathroom for each bedroom. We nicknamed it the little house that could because the square footage does not convey how gracious a living space it is. The outdoor property is serene and sprawling. A perfect getaway.

Super relaxing weekend
I booked this for my mother's 75th birthday for a girl's weekend with me and her two tween/teen granddaughters. The girls took over the top floor, my mom took the whole ground floor and I grabbed the room with the twin beds. We all had our own spaces and bathrooms which was very pleasant. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was very helpful as the restaurants were all full Saturday and closed Sunday (the take out pizza place was great and always open). My kids absolutely loved the property, explored the brook (right down the middle in boots) found the huge area of super soft moss and poked around in the woods. Lots of things to do nearby: Magic Wings, cute shops, bridge of flowers (the best gelato at the end that we've ever had ) and plenty of short hikes with amazing views.
