2BD, 2BA Cozy Private Log Cabin with Amazing Mountain Views, Hot Tub, Pool Table

Located atop Bluff Mountain overlooking Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains, Oliver Overlook is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin. This beautiful cabin has amazing views that will take your breath away. You will feel like you can touch the heavens as you gaze out over long range views of the Smokies from your wrap around deck. Beautifully furnished, comfortable, and updated, you will feel right at home. Snuggle by the wood burning fireplace or relax in your hot tub after a day of exploring. At night, the view allows you to see the lights of Pigeon Forge sparkling in the distance!

*4 WHEEL DRIVE AND TRAVEL INSURANCE ARE RECOMMENDED DURING WINTER MONTHS.
Mountain roads can become hazardous or impassable in snow and ice.

Oliver Overlook can comfortably sleep 6 guests. The cabin has a bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and a bathroom across the hall. There are 2 sides to the loft, 1 side has a Game Room with a Pool table, the other side has a queen bedroom with a bathroom. The cabin is easily accessible with only three steps to the front door. Conveniently located off Wears Valley Road, only 5 miles from Pigeon Forge, the cabin offers the best of both worlds: secluded yet convenient to attractions, shopping, and restaurants. Oliver Overlook is perfect for a family vacation, honeymoon, anniversary, or couple’s getaway.

BE SAFE - The last 1/4 mile to cabin is a steep, curvy, one lane road, paved private road. Normally a 2-wheel drive is sufficient but inclement weather requires a 4 wheel/all-wheel drive. In the winter we highly recommend travel insurance in case mountain roads are impassable due to snow or ice.
BE AWARE - You are in Bear Country, do not feed bears or leave food in cars. Lock the car door.
BRING YOUR OWN - Firewood & Coffee
NO PETS - $300 fine and asked to leave
KEEP IN TOUCH - If you have any problem let us know while you are there, we will try our best to solve it.
Limit 6 Guests maximum, including children, if exceed the fine is $100 per guest.
Motorcycles and trailers are not recommended or safe.


Nearby Things to Do: Dollywood, Splash Mountain, and the legendary Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show are all great ways to spend your vacation. You can also explore the Smokey Mountain National Park and Cades Cove with day hikes, horseback tours, and zipline adventures. In nearby Gatlinburg, about a 30-minute drive, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, and the quaint Arts and Crafts Community await! The Trillium Venue located on Bluff Mountain is only 2 miles from the cabin.

Beautiful place with a spectacular view
Exactly as described! The view from the porch is gorgeous and the cabin is clean and well maintained. The host is very kind and easy to communicate with, and even checked with us before a winter storm came through to make sure we were aware of incoming conditions and would be able to get down off the mountain safely. The road to the cabin/driveway is paved and is definitely passable under normal conditions with a 2WD vehicle, but it can't be understated that a 4x4 would truly be a must during icy or snowy weather. Overall this is a lovely peaceful place to stay and I would definitely book again in the future.

Great Cabin!
Cabin was exact to the online description. Wonderful views of the cities in the valley below ... breathtaking at night too! Cabin was nice; but lots of ladybugs EVERYWHERE in cabin ...dead & alive!!

One of the best views in this town!
This was one of the best views I've experienced in my 5 years of renting cabins in the area. We had a small issue with the property, but the property manager did her best to make us happy. Overall a very nice cabin !!

Everything we were looking for
We had the most amazing, relaxing vacation at Oliver's Outlook cabin! The views and cabin were exactly as shown. Stunning views, beautiful, clean cabin, and excellent communication with host. The cabin and views were so spectacular we didn't want to leace at all! We will definitely be returning, as this is now our favorite destination to unplug and relax!

The Views really are stunning
We had a wonderful stay, and everything was perfect. The views really can't be described. Especially early in the morning with the clouds in the valley below and the sun shining brightly above. It was breathtaking. This is a truly beautiful place and with Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg fairly close by there was plenty to do and see. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning when we can.

Fly swatting- a new challenging game!
The cabin was wonderful. There were a couple of things we shared with the manager that needed attention. The downstairs shower knob was finicki, but when we figured out the trick, it was fine. We had approximately 40 (no exaggeration) FLYS in the house when we got there. We created a game of swatting them the first evening. No smelly carcass found, so we assumed the cleaning crew left the door open while doing their work.

Anniversary trip
Stunning view! We fell in love as soon as we got out of the car! Quiet, quaint, and absolutely incredible! We enjoyed waking up to the best view imaginable, chilling with the fresh air, and soaking in the hot tub as the sun set. Close to town and all the tourist destinations, but out of the way enough to escape the noise. Getting there did have some really steep roads but nothing that a Camry couldn’t handle (end of summer btw).

Negatives outweighed positives
This was our second stay in the area so we were somewhat familiar with the mountain roads. Admittingly, these ones were intimidating, but the previous reviews warned us. The cabin had a good amount of space for our family of 5 - living area and loft were comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub, the washer/dryer unit, and, of course, the view. In order of priority, some of the negatives were as follows: the shower curtain liners were terribly dirty, and moldy, all of the soap dispensers including the spares under the sink were watered down, the dishes and frying pans were dirty, and more practical storage in the master would've been nice (a small chest of 4 drawers is there; we had to spread most of our clothes on the floor for the week). The manager reached out to let us know the owners would be stopping by for other reasons. They did drop off a care package for us after we shared our issues, which we appreciated. Based on our overall experience, we would not choose to stay here again.

A Few Caveats, But Overall Good Stay
Communication with host was overall good, but failed to mention that there was no longer a grill on the property due to safety reasons, and when we arrived, main bedroom bed was put together in such a way that it looked okay, but was actually broken (host thought property maintenance had put it together well enough to hold up for the stay) Host was quick to act since they were already waiting on a new frame, and got one bought and installed on our second day of stay, and credited us some money back. But we were not made aware of the issue at hand up front. Only other complaint I have is the pictures listed on the VRBO listing are out of date, compared to what we were presented with, and I understand it's a forest/mountains and brush and weeds and such are a common occurrence. But the view from where the car is supposed to be parked is completely overrun with brush and weeds and there is no more view like in the listing from there. The overall view from the balcony is great, but it suffers from the same issue, as majority of the brush and weeds have started to overrun the view, so anywhere but the center of the balcony is slightly obstructed especially if you're short. Location was fantastic, close to everything, and the view for the 4th was phenomenal could see plenty of fireworks from the cabin without having to leave. Nothing much else to critique, and overall really enjoyed our stay. Would consider staying again especially if the view gets better again.

Disappointing
The picture's of the view had to be 5 to 8 years old, the size of the trees had obstructed the view. Vegetarian was beginning to take over other sides of the cabin including theporch which had so.e kind of vine growing through every board and up 2 post including one in which this vine was taking over the floor of the rear part of the porch. Inside a number of lights did not work including all of the night lights. I had scheduled this cabin for late October, but have since canceled those reservations.

Family Vacation
Our vacation was everything that we could’ve asked for and more. The views were amazing and the cottage was beautiful. We were able to see the Dollywood fireworks. The beds were comfy and the amenities had everything we needed. Driving up to the cottage was very steep and scary but we managed to get used to it. My don’t loved to see the wildlife and the bear that made a visit to our garbage can. Thank you for everything.
