The accommodation is a small but pleasant apartment in a newly and sympathetically renovated building. It is set in a quiet, wooded location, about an 8 minute walk to a small selection of bars and 2 little supermarkets in nearby Selca.
The apartment has a balcony overlooking the tennis courts (which, when we stayed, were being well used by paying players, but are available to guests when courts are free) and a very nice pool, great for a refreshing dip after a day in the sun. There is a useful terrace, shaded by vines, with table and chairs where you can eat al fresco.
Close to the apartment are easily accessible off road walking routes into the nearby fishing village of Sumartin and the very pretty town of Plovja which is about 5km away. In both these locations, you can enjoy lovely swims in the sea and pleasant meals at the numerous bars and restaurants.
To make the most of staying on Brac, some form of one’s own transport may be advisable as, although there are reliable buses, the service is not particularly frequent or extensive. Bikes and scooters can be hired in the nearby towns and these, or your own car, of course, would allow you to go further afield in Brac, for example, visiting the lovely beach at Bol.
The owner, Nenad, is very kind and helpful but also unobtrusive. He is ably assisted by Anna, both of whom make great hosts.
