"Nice home, old but kept very clean. Had all the amenities plus more. Comfortable home and beds. Hosts were very nice and communicated very well. I accidentally locked myself out of the house the first night and the owner showed up in less than 5 minutes (they live down the street) to let me back in. AC worked great during a very hot week. I will definitely be staying again. However, I did notice the nightly rate was significantly more now than it was a week ago, not sure how vrbo does that."

"We needed to move our TXST student into his dorm but wanted to avoid boarding our dog. This was a fantastic home. We truly enjoyed the time we were able to stay in the house. The host reached out numerous times to check on us. Also, I noticed the little things. There were plenty of towels and washcloths. There was adequate shelving in the bathroom to allow everyone to keep their stuff in the bathroom. The host left a nice note at the beginning of our stay, suggesting nearby restaurants. The dog...

"My daughter stayed here while in the “flex” period for apartments. The unit was exactly like the photos - but better! There were little extras (coffeemaker, fridge, surprisingly roomy closet). The unit was exceptionally clean, and the outdoor patio was the perfect bonus. The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive, and answered all questions quickly. I am so glad we found this place, and will definitely be coming back to stay when we visit San Marcos."

"My wife and I had a great experience for our 15th anniversary. We stayed in Casita 3 which is standalone from the other Casitas. We parked the car and were able to walk everywhere for the duration of our weekend. Downtown Gruene is a 2 minute walk away and we found a great coffee shop (Kora Kora) about 5 minutes in the other direction. There's live music across the street and though we could hear it faintly, our white noise maker drowned it out. We didnt expect to have access to kayaks but those...

"My husband and I rented the Casita for a quick adult getaway and it was a wonderful stay! The casita was clean, roomy and had really nice amenities. It was perfect for us. The walk to Gruene was short and easy but our favorite part was being able to walk down to the river, get in with ease and relax for a day without having to float.
