"Overall, I really enjoyed this property and will be back. I was a little disappointed in two things. First, it wasnt super clean. It was clean enough, not to throw a fit over, but the fans, air intakes, and ceiling had weeks of gathered dust. For me thats not an issue. However, I brought my epically over-clean mother and she notices every little thing. Second, the stairs to the river landing were torn up and it was unaccessible. "We enjoyed our stay in the Bordeaux room in the main house. It was easy to find, clean, and equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator. We walked to the town square and explored various shops. Since Caddo Lake was our prime reason for coming, we drove about 30 min to be on a lake tour."

"My family gathered for my 60th birthday and came from New Orleans. The back porch was perfect for gathering and the house was so spacious. The beds and bedding were so nice. The acorns on the tin roof was a little frightening at times but country living at its best! Beautiful surroundings! We love the Shultz family and Bearcreek never disappoints! "

"Everything went perfectly. Property was clean and as advertised. Quick drive to Caddo Lake State Park and other points along the lake. It’s a pretty remote area, so it’s a bit of a drive to stores and restaurants though I did frequent a bait shop that doubles as a cafe along highway 43. 3F is the name, I believe. Details on local treasures available in the notebook in the cabin. Highly recommend this property. "
