Built in 1900 this historic house is full of character with gorgeous original wood floors, tall ceilings and large windows throughout. Conveniently located in Downtown Scottsville, just a short walk to local restaurants, shops, brewery, museum, nature trails, farmers market and James River. While only a 20 min drive to Charlottesville and UVA. Recently renovated with high end furnishings, 3 large Smart TVs, well equipped kitchen, and perfect back porch overlooking the town to relax.

Steve's Place in Scottsville
We got off to a rocky start as we never got the check-in info (eg code for front door) until we were practically there, but thereafter had a wonderful time. Scottsville itself was an unpected pleasure and the neighbors were cool

excellent stay!
We enjoyed the rental property very much. Convenient to anywhere in Scottsville, able to park right in front of home. 2 large full sized bunk beds! internet was fine, kitchen supplied well, and one queen bed also. Great location and rental.

Great location
We came to Scottsville for our son’s wedding. Steven is an excellent host- very communicative and accommodating. The space is nice, but the bathroom is VERY small. Despite that, the rest of the house is great and you can’t beat the location.We had 5 people there. One of the rooms has double bed bunks, but only two of us stayed in that room. You could probably fit four kids in there. One person slept on the couch which was comfy. Steven had also offered to put an air mattress in there for us. I would recommend it.

Wedding at Mount Ida Reserve
So comfortable and quaint! We really appreciated being just under 5 miles from the venue for our friend’s daughter’s wedding. The Host was very friendly, responsive, and accommodating as we needed early check-in . Would highly recommend this place!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway
The place had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Loved the extra large sofa in the living room. Perfect location for a weekend getaway to a fun little river town.

Convenient to Scottsville downtown
Enjoyed the convenience of our stay to the town of Scottsville. Plenty of choices for dining and history of the town. Beautiful town and will definitely plan to visit again. Host was very good and the place was very quaint. Loved sitting outside on the back deck overlooking the town.

Hip place in a historic town
Spacious and nicely decorated, very clean apt. in a small town with a couple nice restaurants, brewery and coffee shop. Bathroom very small but the bunk beds large-full size.

Wedding trip
The property was very easy to find and easy to access. The neighborhood was ok. There is a permanent residence upstairs above the property and some of the homes on the street are rundown and in need of repairs. The bathroom is quite small so if you have more than 2 people in need of getting ready for a big event it may not be the right accommodations for that however the kitchen was a nice size the the deck overlooking the downtown area was nice to have. The living room was a generous size as well as the front bedroom. The overall cleanliness of the place was very good.

House was easy to get to with GPS. Home was VERY clean. Had everything we needed. Bed was a little too soft for us but not everyone sleeps the same way. Lots of coffee provided, clean towels and linens provided, and all the basic amenities. The Route 151 experience was incredible and fun for us. Generally speaking, we were about 15-25 miles away from house so very convenient. Was totally impressed and thankful. Host was responsive and welcoming. Thank you for a great time.

Great stay in Scottsville
We really enjoyed our stay in Scottsville. Communication with Steven was very prompt and check in was easy. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. It was within a short walk to the local brewery, restaurant and coffee shop. Short drive to local wineries.
