"We stayed for 2 weeks, whilst the rest of the country had a heat wave, we had a couple of nice days and the rest was misty and windy. However, the house exceeded our expectations being warm, comfortable and had everything you could need - really high quality furnishings etc. Fantastic views from the house and the patio area and walks from the doorstep. "Joan's house is very spacious, well equipped, and perfectly located within 10 mins walk from the local shops (provisions, crafts and tweed) and the local restaurant, deli, ButtyBus, harbour and lochs. "The Property was simple to find. Cottage was in a good location for travel around the island, also handy for the shop and petrol pumps. For bird watchers, it is right beside the Machair and we saw loads including the corn crake. The cottage was well equipped, though we had to look for the instructions for the hob. We didn’t use the wood burner but we did use the bench outside to the rear. We would stay here again"
