Charming, Chic Two-Story Carriage House near Forsyth Park by Lucky Savannah

Located only blocks away from Forsyth park, this rustic, newly renovated, two-story Carriage House in Historic Savannah is a lovely mix of old and new. Perfectly situated in a quiet residential area, you won't compromise location as this home is easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and sightseeing.

Enter through a private entrance off of Gordon Lane, accompanied by your own mudroom, perfect to store umbrellas, jackets, and bikes! Upon accessing you are greeted by handsome decor, exposed brick and beautiful historic beams that give a rustic feel. The living area offers ample seating, along with a 55" Television, and reading lamps located at each end of the sofa. Open to the living space, the kitchen offers every amenity you could hope for, with all modern conveniences that are incorporated into this rustic space. The butcher block counter tops tie the space together with the tasteful marble tiled backsplash. A breakfast nook with seating for two boasts with natural light, perfect for a peaceful morning cup of coffee.

On the second floor you'll find a bedroom with Loom and Leaf Queen size mattress, restored fireplace with original mantle and beautiful calming accents. The bedroom has a large walk-in closet, designed to fit for your belongings for short or extended stays. You'll also find a spare bedroom with a Twin bed, perfect for a third guest, along with a full size stackable washer and dryer tucked away. In the renovated bathroom you'll have plenty of space to get ready for a day out on the town.

Quiet neighborhood right across from parks and sights. Parking is a little weird and not exactly clear, it's on the street and not in the spot that's directly adjacent to the rental but it's all forgivable as the rental itself is very nicely updated and has everything you could ever ask for including spices for cooking which was a nice surprise. All in all very nice id highly recommend

Adorable cottage house
Very cute cottage house in perfect location. Every place is less than 20 min walking distance. Beds comfy. My only suggestion would be to have an entrance in front rather than the back dark alley, especially for women.

Wonderful Carriage House in the Historic District
What a great opportunity to spend time in historic Savannah! Step out the door, and you are around the corner from Forsythe Park, Monterey Square and dozens of historic homes. This carriage house is comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. It has everything you need to be comfortable.

Great place to stay!
Convenient location, very cute accommodations! The only complaint that we had was that there was dog or cat hair on furniture and carpet. Would prefer that to be vacuumed off before we stay.

Wonderful visit to Savannah
Our VRBO location was perfect; across from Chatham Square and a 2 block walk to Forsyth Park. The accommodations were perfect, comfortable bed, clean rooms, quaint location. We walked everywhere and things are so easy to get to. Great restaurants: The Public, Collins Quarters and especially Asher & Rye for daily coffee and croissants! Loved it!

Beautiful Location!
Lovely carriage house located just outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown. everything was within a 20-30 min walk with no need to drive. Quiet Neighborhood with beautiful parks all around. I traveled with my husband and my son who was just under 2 years old. the house was charming and cozy- perfect for the three of us. If you are bringing a little one, be aware that the furniture and décor is not completely baby friendly, but it was easy enough to put breakables away. There is a small gap in the flooring to the main bedroom and the tv room. If baby is sleeping, be sure to have a sound machine so that you can watch TV without waking baby. The one caveat to the quiet neighborhood is that you can hear your neighbors next door- they aren't loud, but it was surprising... TLDR; Place was great, would stay again.

Love the kitchen tile and refrigerator. The location is perfect for walking to Forsythe Park, Catham Sq., churches, restaurants and pubs. Would happily stay another time in this residence.

Great Location!
This place was ideal for location. If there is anything that could be done, it would be in the bathroom. There should be a toilet paper holder, soap dish, couple more hooks for towels and a small shelf for guests personal items.

Place is clean and cute with great location, but the smell of mold is almost unbearable
The place is clean and cute with a fantastic location and has everything you need, but the smell of mold is almost unbearable. Upon entering the property, the wet/moldy air hit us hard because the main floor looks like it has no air circulation at all. I stayed in the house for 30 min and goes outside, I can smell it on my clothes/hair. I opened up a box of cookie on day one, day two morning I see small white bugs all over the table surrounds the cookie. It was kind of disgusting. The main bedroom bedding is too small, the bed cover kept slipping out the entire time. The property is clean though, all towels/bedding smells and feels clean. I guess the smell is normal for house this old. I would recommend some air circulation/air refreshers, otherwise it’s hard to even be in there with smell that strong.

Great last minute weekend stay
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very cute and clean. The stairs are quite steep and narrow. It wasn't an issue for us, but may be for some. The entrance was on the alley, which was different for us. I must say the alley is VERY well lit at night. We loved that it was so close to Forsyth Park.

Perfect Long Weekend Getaway
My husband and I just returned from our three night stay at Serenity Lane and we loved our stay. It was our first time in Savannah and we loved being centrally located/ within walking distance of the hustle and bustle of River Street and then the laid back vibe of the Starland District. Forsyth Park is lovely and a two minute walk down the block. We did not rent a car and didn't use Uber/Lyft our entire stay - we walked everywhere! Other reviews mention difficulty finding the property, and we experienced this as well - the address lists a street name but the property is actually between two streets in an alley. The only bummer is that the property doesn't have any outdoor space. We had beautiful weather during our stay and having our own, private outdoor space would have been ideal. However, in addition to Forsyth Park, there is a delightful little square near the property that we ventured to in the evening with cocktails in hand. In summary, this is a great spot that feels more residential vs. touristy (in a good way!) - check in was easy, everything was clean, and we felt very safe.
