This was not the best experience. The staff at the check in was professional and quick. It took only a few minutes to get us the room, but they kept our passports telling us to pick them up at check out. We insisted of having them back as soon as possible (they said that they need to make copies of them) and they said to come back in an hour. Not good, but we agreed as they were very busy. When we returned to get the passport an hour later a male staff member said that their copier was not working and again asked us to get them at check out. When we refused to leave without our passports another employee took care of us. It became clear that the male employee lied about broken copier. The first room that we got had a faulty locking mechanism. When it started taking longer than expected to fix the door, we requested a new room. That request was honored, but when we entered the second room we discovered that it was never cleaned after the previous guests left. Very disappointing and concerning that they didn’t have an appropriate system in place to know which rooms were clean. Another reason why it became more important for us to get our passports back. The cleaning and maintenance staff were great and took care of the second room immediately while we waited. The bathroom didn’t seem to properly drain after showers. The whole bathroom was wet which made it unsafe, slippery. Overall this could be a better hotel, but will not be the place that we would use again.
