Checking in was a little confusing. No staff onsite. You had to call them on the tablet provided at the front desk to check in. In order for them to even speak to you, you had to complete a form online. The whole thing was very frustrating and confusing. It shouldn't have taken that long to check in and I wish there was someone at the front desk and not on a tablet. Transportation to airport was very challenging. Taxi/Uber, or Train do not run until after 7:00 a.m. I had an early flight at 7:45 a.m. and couldn't find any services to take me to the airport by 6:00 a.m., so I had to stay the hotel inside the airport and left my friends at this hotel. I called front desk (tablet) and they couldn't help me. They apologized and ask that I handle the transportation on my own. It's unfortunate that my friends and I had to experience this kind of service; especially at a hotel that was only 5 minutes from the airport. I booked a different hotel which cost me $333 USD and left my friends so I can catch my flight the next morning. Something to be aware of in Chitose. Rent a car or stay inside the airport if you have an early flight.
