Quiet family home Santa Cruz

We are top hosts with a local vacation permit through the city of Santa Cruz and have never cancelled a traveler so you can book with peace of mind that your booking is secure. Our home is in Midtown Santa Cruz. Close to the Highway, one mile to the beach, 1/2 mile to downtown. We love this quiet neighborhood and its a great place to stay in Santa Cruz!!

Our home is a historic home built in 1865. We have updated it but there are still some quirks to it. The stairs are skinny and slightly uneven in the step and there is a stair between the kitchen area and living room. Ceilings are lower in the upstairs bedrooms and upstairs bath.

There will be all the basic amenities you will need. Beach towels, toys and a few chairs are also provided. If there is something else you may need please let us know!!

-Please park ONLY ONE car on the pavers in the driveway. The pavers are the bricks along side the grass. Do not park in front of the palm tree. Please make sure to LEAVE THE DRIVEWAY CLEAR AT ALL TIMES for the backhouse. Any other vehicles can park on the street.
-The code to the door will be sent 2 days prior to arrival
(Press the Yale logo, wait a few seconds for the keypad to turn on, enter passcode passcode, click the check mark, wait a few seconds and the door should unlock) to lock just press the Yale and it should lock automatically.
-We want you to enjoy your vacation but please remember this is a quiet family neighborhood with working families so please keep the noise down between 10pm-8am. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. The neighbors are close so be respectful. If you are loud and disrupt the neighbors they will call the police and you will be asked to leave with no refund.
-If you do smoke we ask if you do it on the front porch with all windows and doors closed and dispose of all butts in the outside garbage on the back porch. If we find garbage or cigarette butts on the property we will charge a extra cleaning fee.
-Air/ heat upstairs in each bedroom heats and cool very quickly. Please make sure the units are turned off when you leave the house. AIR CONDITIONING IS ONLY UPSTAIRS. THE DOWNSTAIRS IS HEAT ONLY.
-The upstairs front bedrooms window is low. If you have kids the window opens from the top down to keep them safe.
-The house only allows up to 6 adults per our short term rental permit. Extra guests will be asked to leave.
-We have a strict no pet policy. Please leave your furry friend at home.
-If you are staying on a Monday night, garbage pickup is Tuesday mornings. Just want to give you a heads up they can be a little loud.

So-so stay

This home could use some refurbishing. There were stains on the carpets and holes in the screens, no places to hang your stuff in the bathrooms. Not the most cozy home. The owner wasnā€™t very accommodating when we complained about the holes in the screens. It was quiet and had a nice back patio for hanging. Ok stay

Annual Trip with Our Grandkids

We had a wonderful stay! The location was close to the boardwalk and walking distance to a neighborhood park. Located in a very quiet neighborhood. Very clean and comfortable, perfect for our family trip. Would definitely recommend! Weā€™d love to come back again!

Donā€™t plan on staying there again

The house was just okay. However, I donā€™t recommend people with kids stay there. My 11 year old accidentally got lip gloss on their towels and we were charged 25 for it. They only have stark white towels so I recommend you bring your own towels in case it gets dirty. Thereā€™s a driveway to the neighbors house right in front of the kitchen and I got startled to see a person standing in front of the kitchen windows on the first morning. But it was a quiet neighborhood. The house was mostly clean except for upstairs, there was thick black mold in the corners of the windows.

Great Santa Cruz house

The house was really roomy and clean. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood. Everything in Santa Cruz was just a short drive away and many places are walkable. The best part was Mariannes ice cream was only .2 miles away.

Such a cute property , extremely clean and well appointed. My Mom didnā€™t want to leave and I canā€™t say I blamed her. The kitchen is particularly beautiful. We hope to stay here again next time we are in town to visit my daughter who is a ucsc student. Also, the hosts were lovely and communication was perfect.

We visited with family for a cousins wedding. The house is very clean and well equipped. The stairs (as advertised) leading to the 2 upper bedrooms are a bit tricky for my elderly mother so she and an aunt stayed in the downstairs twin room. Lovely spot in family neighborhood. Would stay again.

Santa Cruz Cottage

Clean and comfortable 3 bedroom one and a half bath property. Well maintained. Close to downtown and the beach. The walk to the beach and boardwalk may be a bit far but priced accordingly. Overall nice stay!

Comfy and homey stay in great location

The house is amazing! We loved the style; it felt very cozy, homey, and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard with your cat's visits and some squirrels. Just a short drive to Trader Joe's or the beach. We would love to come back!
