This delightful 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom Mediterranean-style apartment unit is situated next to the owner's private gated residence in Carpinteria on nearly 1 acre of attractive grounds, complete with a veranda, a large grassy lawn, and well-kept landscaping. With accommodations for 4 guests, and a prime spot near hiking trails, Loon Point, and beaches, this home ensures a memorable retreat!

With 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and 790 square-feet of living space, this unit can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. You'll find this custom built apartment nicely appointed with beautiful furnishings, pleasing interior décor, and all the amenities you need to be as relaxed as possible during your stay.

Included are in-unit laundry machines, air conditioning, huge flat screen TVs in both the living area and bedroom, and wireless internet access, so you can easily stay in touch with friends and family back home during your vacation.

When you're not out enjoying one of the many restaurants in nearby Summerland, Carpinteria, or Santa Barbara, prepare a delicious meal at home in the unit's full kitchen, equipped with all the necessary appliances.If you're not in the mood to cook indoors, make dinner outside on the charcoal or gas grill before dining outside on the patio, gazing out at the beautiful mountain views.

There's also a Santa Barbara Metro bus stop within 300 feet – It's only 2 minutes to Summerland, 5 minutes to Carpinteria, and 10 minutes to Santa Barbara!

beautiful place and lawn
we loved the place, and our dogs loved more. they played with neighbors chicken, and ran around the spacious lawn all afternoon. not many vacation rental has ca king size bed, this one has! it is a plus! the only negative for the location is it is near freeway. but once we get inside the house, the freeway noise disappeared.

Delightful!
This was truly such a wonderful, quiet and charming home. You can tell that the owners take a lot pride in their property. All of the extra little provisions made us feel right at home! We've been to many vrbo's with far less being offered and those were fine too but this one just had a few extras that made being away from home easy and special. I didn't think it was going to be as Quiet as it was either. Once I saw it was near the freeway I had some doubts, but it really was and stayed quiet the whole time. So while other family members stayed at hotels in Santa B. for our reunion, we felt way more spoiled in our custom home vrbo, only 15 min away from SB, 5 min from beach etc for roughly the same price: ) thanks again Ted and Mary Anne!

Beautiful Stay Five Minutes from the Beach
This large one bedroom apartment is in a serene gated complex with a huge green lawn. It is five minutes from both Carpinteria and Summerland. A few more minutes will take you to Montecito and then Santa Barbara. Hosts were available whenever needed by phone. Beds were very comfortable. A perfect stay.

This is just what the doctor ordered . The property is also close to restaurants and shopping. The backyard is beautiful and spacious.

Big, Private and Friendly
This was our first VRBO as a family and the experience was fantastic. The house was perfect for our family of four with lots of space to spread out. Our children (ages 8 and 3) enjoyed the beautiful lawn right and futon set-up in the living room. Ted and Mary Anne's hospitality and care for the house was appreciated. The kitchen was full of everything you would need to live there full-time and there were plenty of clean towels, linens and extra bedding. We will definitely return here for our next getaway to the beach.

Clean and quiet.
The unit was what we expected; clean and quiet. The outdoor seating could be better and the fact the BBQ was charcoal (not gas) caused us to not use it. Also some of the chairs around the outside table had bird droppings so we didn't use that either. If you are just looking for a place to bed down this works well. As I stated earlier, the unit itself was very clean and quiet.

Great location. Easy to get in and out of property and front entrance. Great interior.
Interior is excellent. Big open space. Great attention to detail with fully furnished aspects of the kitchen, living room, bathroom and master bedroom. Wide open back yard and great exterior. Great location to the beach and to Santa Barbarbra.

Amazing house and Dog Friendly
My dog and I enjoyed our week at this house. The house had absolutely everything we needed and it was beautiful inside and outside. The grass yard was really beautiful and my dog enjoyed it. Everything inside including the pots and pans were in excellent condition, like new. The TV's were wonderful too. The location was convenient to everything including hiking trails and the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

A hidden gem.
If you're looking for a relaxing get-away in a secluded and lovely setting, you'll find it here. Everything about our stay was first rate, down to the last detail. The home and surrounding yard and gardens is impeccably kept and inviting. The apartment is warm and welcoming, with everything a vacationer needs to make it a memorable stay. The photo doesn't do it justice - it's also a wonderful wedding venue. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
