The exceptional 8-acre mountain top property (halfway between SF and LA) has two bedrooms, chef’s kitchen and a large, elegantly appointed bathroom. Indoor areas transition seamlessly into outdoor living and dining spaces through French doors and large windows. The large 500 square foot private deck provides a comfortable place to read, relax or dine (BBQ equipped) while taking in the commanding views.

Appointed with premium fixtures, furniture, amenities and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout. Complimentary onsite electric car (Tesla, etc) charging station. This dedicated vacation rental is professionally cleaned (fresh linens, towels, etc.) and a hotel quality experience awaits your arrival. Accommodates up to six guests, with four being ideal.

The grounds feature complimentary fresh eggs from the chicken coop and seasonal vegetables from our raised beds, gardens, koi pond, "Walter's" tortoise habitat and an incredible vista of wildlife, particularly birds and raptors who are at eye level.

We are on the famous Pacific Coast Highway (Hwy. 1). The coastal retreat halfway between LA and SF. Our road (Prefumo Canyon) turns into See Canyon and leads to Avila Beach. There is a short 15 minute scenic drive to downtown SLO (Thursday Night Farmer’s Market, restaurants, nightlife etc.) and beautiful Avila Beach (spectacular beach, pier, shops, wineries, etc). Famous Avila and Sycamore Mineral Springs offer a therapeutic experience in a group setting or privately in secluded tubs set amongst the tree-canopied hillside. You are in a serene and peaceful setting, but not too far from all the action!

Vista House is hard to leave once you arrive, with wonderful hikes, incredible natural surroundings and bountiful wildlife. Stock up at the Whole Foods, Sprouts or Costco at the bottom of the hill and settle in for a memorable experience!

We continue to be vigilant with Covid-19 procedures and protocols. I am a heart transplant recipient (immunosuppressed), sit on the Stanford Hospital's Heart Transplant Board and mentor perspective transplant recipients, so I understand your concerns and the associated practices with being safe. Our cleaning team have been with us for 10 years and all surfaces are cleaned, disinfected and sanitized. Masks are optional and this unique space provides for privacy, space and confidence when mask free. The air is clean up here and it really is a place to feel secure, recharge and retreat. :)

This is a special place to fine tune your physical and mental health with family and friends amongst the ocean, mountain, valley and city vistas. The views from the top of the mountain are truly unforgettable.
