Pet Friendly 2 Bedroom with Hot Tub in Ocean Beach

Summary:
Located in a quiet Ocean Beach neighborhood just 5 blocks from the beach and walking distance to local shops, restaurants and boutiques, you have everything you need right at your fingertips. After a day out around town, come home to relax in the hot tub and grill on the rooftop as you watch the sunset over the ocean. The home itself is recently redecorated with new furniture in a coastal boho theme that will truly make you feel like you're on vacation!

The Space:
This is a residential street with abundant street parking. We love your dogs and have the front yard for them to frolic in (no backyard access for dogs), but please be sure to clean up after them.

Guest Access:
Note: this property is a duplex with the owner living onsite. However, you have complete and unfettered access to the 2-bedroom unit. You are also welcome to use only the fenced in front yard for your dogs. The rear of the property, including the deck and hot tub are shared with the owner, and she has two dogs so please be sure to let us know if you are bringing along a dog on the trip.

The Neighborhood:
OB is the hippest and most "neighborly" of San Diego's beach communities. There is nothing quite like the non-corporate lifestyle of Ocean Beach. The locals here love OB for its eclectic community that supports a range of wonderful small shops, restaurants, bars and coffee houses. You will find some of the best food, drink and shopping in the local area. You are still removed enough to enjoy a more quiet, neighborhood experience, while still being close enough to enjoy the night life of OB. All of OB is accessible on foot from this location. So enjoy and take it all in!

Other Things to Note:
This property is pet friendly. There is a $150 pet fee applied after booking. If you have any questions please ask!

The couch is a pull-out mattress.

Interaction with Guests:
Check-in is completely contactless; you will be given a door code 3 days prior to arrival. As we mentioned, the owner lives onsite so you may encounter her in the backyard on occasion, but she does her best to give you privacy!

Wonderful Stay in OB
Stayed at this lovely, well maintained property during Christmas time. Very clean, well stocked. Excellent location. Aaron(property manager) and Anna Marie (owner) are very accessible and friendly. Stay could not have been more enjoyable.

Awesome location and house
We had a great time staying a second time at this location. It is only about 6 blocks from the beach, plenty of street parking, a really nice house and wonderful deck on top of garage. We love staying here! Thanks for your hospitality!

Our sons Marine graduation trip
This place was absolutely perfect. It was very cozy. We were about 5 or 6 blocks from the beach. The view from the sun deck was stunning. Unfortunately we didnt have time to use the hottub. My husband and I came for my Sons Marine graduation so we were at the base for two days. So we didnt get to enjoy this beautiful place like we wanted too. But when we come back to San Diego we will definitely be staying in your place again. Thank you Anna Marie and Aaron The Kaisers

We chose this rental as we were travelling with our grandson. It is within walking distance of the home of our daughter and convenient for the centre of OB.

Yuck!
For the price charged this place needs updated, deep cleaning and new paint. I didn’t want to take a shower because the tub grossed me out. The musty, stale smell of the rental made me nauseous. There was a candle in the living room that was completely used up, I’m guessing the last guests felt the same way. I didn’t think I’d mind the planes but they were very loud and continues during the day. Thank god for subtitles because the planes were louder than the tv. I’m glad we only stayed two nights. Upside, there are some great local restaurants and had it not been raining we would’ve spent more time walking around town and at the beach. We will definitely come back but not to this rental.

Great home near the beach.
This place was perfect for our family, including a 5 and 7 year-old. There's a park just a block away, lots of great shopping and restaurants, and of course the beach less than a mile down the road. The house itself has a great kitchen, nice sunny living and dining area, and an awesome deck over the garage with a view of the ocean. Just look out for the hard edges on the queen bed- my wife bruised her shins running into that thing!

Nice duplex, close to beach, quiet neighborhood
We definitely enjoyed our stay. Walkable to the beach, pet friendly with fenced front and back yards, quiet neighborhood with plenty of street parking, nice large kitchen given the size of the home overall. Nicely kept with plenty of towels, beach stuff, pillows and a generally equipped kitchen for a comfortable stay (altho only 5 forks!). Just a few hiccups, the AC went out the last night and when we went to turn on the fan instead, it broke too. The microwave also broke, but the property manager was very quick to respond and replace for us - much appreciated! The owner is super nice, but this is literally a duplex and you share the entire outside space and an interior wall with her. It was a bit hard to shake the feeling of intruding when you're in the shared yard, roof deck and hot tub directly in spaces she also shares. Very nice though and overall the house worked great for us for our somewhat extended stay!

Location was near beach and down a quiet street. We had a few hiccups during our stay sugar ants over ran the kitchen had to put all food in the fridge, the thermostat stopped working on the last night, couch is pretty uncomfortable, there are only 5 forks in the entire house and there were hairs on the pillows upon check in. Lastly, the house is in fact over the flight path and the air noise can be quite loud. Some pros for the house is the patio area is immaculately kept and gorgeous and all beach stuff is provided.

Quaint duplex
Cute little place in the suburbs of SD. Was provided the phone number of the host and was able to contact them as needed. The view of the cost was beautiful from the elevated deck. The hot tub was great for the chilly nights. The trash bins are located behind the fence in the back yard. It took me a while to figure that out. The queen bed was a bit squeaky, however comfortable. The constant planes flying overhead were loud, so bring ear plugs if you are a sensitive sleeper. Was provided with cooking essentials like salt, pepper, some seasonings, cooking spray/oil…etc. overall a really nice place and would stay again.

Everything about this property is just as described. The booking process was easy, the communication from the property manager was great, and the place is beautifully maintained. The location of the property is great. It is located near the main street of Ocean Beach and just a few walking blocks off the beach. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The house is the front house of a duplex and is shared with the owner living in back. The house is very dog friendly with a gated front yard and back yard. The backyard is in the shared space and includes access to the hot tub and rooftop deck. The inside of the house was nicely modernized and has central a/c, a big plus for humid and hot weather. The only negative (and not really a negative) is that the house is directly in the takeoff flight path of the SAN airport. It can be noisy if you have the windows open; however, there is a flight curfew between 11:30pm and 6:30am. Great house and wonderful stay. I will definitely come back.

This is a great place to get away in beautiful San Diego. My family really enjoyed our stay. The host is amazing and she lives next door. If you are looking to buy property in the area she is the lady to talk to. Walking distance from everything you need in OB. This is our second stay at this location.

Great Location with a local feel
This was in a very convenient location within walking distance of Newport Ave which is the main drag for shops and food that leads right to Ocean Beach. The house itself is located in a very friendly neighborhood and parking was easy. The house is well maintained and really has no problems. The back area is really nice with a rooftop eating area, a barbecue, and a hot tub. It was too hot for us to use the hot tub but it looked clean and well maintained. Overall a great experience. As mentioned with other reviewers the beds creak, but we stayed there a week and sleeping was not a problem for any of us. We would definitely recommend it and would use it again if needed. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Beds are super comfy. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping, including CVS and Target. It’s very near an interstate exit so minimal traffic challenges. Quiet neighborhood. Parking was good, except on July 4th when fireworks traffic presented a small challenge. One word of note, the duplex owner has a very calm and amiable dog that shared the back yard.

Great OB Location
Our family enjoyed staying at this family and dog-friendly location. It was conveniently located to all the tourist spots of San Diego. It was in a nice neighborhood close to a family park and only 5 blocks from Ocean Beach. The only irritating aspect of this location was directly below a flight paths and there was frequent air traffic. I also think it’s worth noting that the master bed is very noisy, but the sheets were very comfortable. Minor wear and tear was noted in the interior, and more hooks would’ve been nice for hanging towels. We loved playing games and having drinks on the deck by the fire pit, overlooking the town and we were able to see a sliver of the ocean, and the hot tub was very relaxing. The grounds are very well-maintained with beautiful flowers and planted succulents and the owner’s dog Jazzi is very sweet. Ann Marie was also very helpful with any questions we had about the property. If you’re a coffee lover, please note there is not a Nespresso in the home (there’s a knock-off Keurig that takes K-cups), but there are a lot of local coffee shops to enjoy if you want fancier coffee. We appreciated having a washer and dryer to use, BBQ grill, and a full-stocked kitchen with pots/pans/plates/cutlery/spices/oil. Overall, it was a great place to kick-start our summer and made it much more comfortable for us as a family with young children and a dog.
