Host opened apartment door without notice, knocking or consent
While the listing was properly described, we were shocked that the local host opened the apartment door without knocking. We had checked in, lights were on, and suddenly an unknown man was standing in our apartment door without knocking or announcing himself. He claimed he wanted to check if the apartment had been cleaned. This behavior was not ok, and it is at least impolite if not more. A host can check the apartment BEFORE guests arrive, not after. The landlord cannot enter the room/apartment that is rented out without giving advance notice unless it is a serious emergency.We made sure to lock our door was locked at all times afterwards to maintain our privacy. In terms of cleanliness, we were cooking once for ourselves (for Jan01) and wanted to use the porcelain plates. Unfortunately, they were not clean to be used for meals, so we used the plastic plates that were provided. A little balloon was also present in our apartment, which is hard to overlook when a cleaning staff cleans an apartment, isn't it?Beds were fine, and beds linens were clean and comfortable. Some guest reviews were complaining about cold temperature especially during Winter. There were several electric heaters provided, so we found that to be sufficient as our son was working online from the apartment during the day. We really liked that there was some coffee provided, that was nice when you arrive late and urge for some breakfast in the morning! However, the kitchen had no salt, that was odd..
