This home is a 1-minute walk to Mission Beach and the boardwalk, and a 2-minute walk to Mission Bay. Food and fun are 2 blocks away with restaurants, bars, and all the activities of Belmont Park, and the Plunge. On Mission Bay you can rent a boat or a jet ski and partake in all that sunny San Diego has to offer. This home features an outdoor deck with fire pit, BBQ and eating area as well as chaise lounges for sunning. Indoors you have a large kitchen, and a fireplace with TV to watch your favorite movies at night. There is also an A/C for those warmer days and ceiling fans in all rooms.

There are two bedrooms each with high end linens and ceiling fans.

This room has one queen bed, a closet and a half bathroom.
Queen bunkroom
This room has a queen bed on the bottom bunk and a twin XL bed for the top bunk. There is also a small closet and clothes tree.

BATHROOMS
Feel pampered in our well-appointed bathrooms, complete with hand soap and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. For added convenience, a hair dryer is available.

KITCHEN
Our kitchen is fully stocked and ready to inspire your culinary skills. It features all the essentials including dishes, glassware, cutlery, mixing bowls, pots, pans, a blender, toaster,
and two types of coffee machines.

LIVING ROOM
Relax in our living room with original coved ceilings and a cozy fireplace.

OUTDOOR SPACE
The patio has a large grill, fire pit, dining table for up to 6 people and lounge chairs. Gather with friends and family for games, meals outside with the sea breeze, or a take a post-beach nap in one of the loungers!

Other things to note:
There is a parking garage with 1 parking spot in the left side garage. Please note: guests of this unit DO NOT have access to the right side garage. Inside the garage you will find more storage with beach accessories including, beach chairs, boogie boards, a beach umbrella and sand toys.
In the breezeway between the two units are other beach accessories and an outdoor shower and a container with more lounge cushions and pillows.

Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners and this one is no exception. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed and anyway, it's usually an upgrade when something is changed.)

*NOTE: This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about your home!

It is important for you to read all the details about your property. We highlight everything you need to know about your vacation rental in our listing, through emails, some home manuals, in-home signage and phone correspondence. We want our guests to feel prepared, informed and at ease while staying with us. We are always available if you have questions!

Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit along with the House Rules & Rental Agreement. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed.

Attention Guests: In addition to completing our electronic rental agreement, you will also be required to participate in our identity verification process. The service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Please note: for the credit card verification, a $2 hold will be placed on the card to run the report. This hold will never process and will fall off automatically within 7 days. Please contact us with any questions.

If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a 'starter kit' to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store.

Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, either Keurig coffee makers or standard coffee makers, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, co2/fire detectors, and most homes have heat available.

While on vacation, we want our guests to enjoy their vacation to the fullest and we feel in order for our guests to do this, they should also feel informed. Our emails serve to educate you on your vacation rental home, the surrounding area, responsibilities, what to expect and how to get in touch with us. We respect your privacy so our emails help provide you with all you need to know to reference as you please.

Please note our policies:

Holiday 2024 Policy:
6 night minimum AND Saturday check-in is REQUIRED during our holiday season (December 21-January 4). One reservation CANNOT take both holidays, unless it is a 2-week reservation. There are no arrivals OR departures on Christmas or New Year's Day.
*An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!

Summer 2024 Policy:
Beginning Memorial Day to Labor Day, Saturday to Saturday is required with 6-7 night reservations. On July 4th 2024, check-in or check-out is NOT permitted. An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you.

Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy.

To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest's face and holding either a Driver's License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as, payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.

This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

Nightly Minimum Policy:
4 night minimum required in the off season.
6 nights AND a Saturday Check-in is REQUIRED during peak season (June - August). Arrival on Friday or Sunday instead may be an option.
(Please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!)

Arrival/Departure Policy:
Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm)
Check out time is 11 am.

Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call!

Pet Policy: This property DOES NOT permit pets.

Rate Policy: Prices change on a daily basis so the rates you see today may be higher or lower when booking!

Age Policy: We do not typically rent to guests under the age of 25 or large parties. Please contact us prior to booking to see how we may accommodate your group.

Great Place for Families
This is a great place to stay. Very clean, beds were super comfortable, plenty of pillows, A/C, lots of pots and pans to cook with, and the couch was comfortable as well. The outside shower is a must to get all the sand of you and your kids. Two bathrooms was a nice plus. The only thing missing is access to a washer and dryer which was not in the listing but would have been super nice.

I gave this property a 2 out of 5 stars for the discription online because they had not updated their photos or description. we walked into the property and were completely surprised with how nice it was because they had recently updated the entire cottage. some reviews we saw online said no a/c, not dishwasher, not an adequate supply of cooking utensils. when we got there, they had all that plus more. we booked this property based soley for its location to the beach and boardwalk. what we got was one of the best stays at a vrbo we've ever had

Perfect Getaway
This was a perfect place for 3 or 4 people who want to be near the beach. We especially enjoyed the outside front area which was perfect for lounging and visiting while enjoying outside dining. Hope to go back again!

This sweet home was a great spot for our vacation. The house itself offers the bare minimum in amenities but gave us a decent place to stay while visiting San Diego. We were grateful for a garage to park the car, a cute patio to enjoy the thoroughfare and being able to walk to the beach and Belmont Park. There is a musty/mildew smell in the kitchen and the bathroom could use some updates but overall it offered what was needed in terms of beds and basics to get by while in town. A neighboring house had a raging party one night and not faulting this home, just comes with the neighborhood but just wanted to mention it.

Great location - could use updates
The location, for the price, was amazing. When we arrived there unfortunately was a strong mold odor when opening the door. So close to the beach this may be common but it was more than we would have preferred. We opened windows and turned on fans and either that helped on we got used to the odor. We called the first day about the bathroom drain and exhaust fan issue and although there were attempts on calls back to us and us agreeing that maintenance could enter when we were not there, no one ever came to remedy the situation. Because of the great location we would love to give higher marks, the issues we encountered made it tough to do so. Definitely a location for a family of 4 or less, small but doable.

AZ Family Escaping the Heat
It is an older place and it is very small plus there is no dishwasher, washer/dryer so pack accordingly. It does have a garage that fit out Honda Pilot. I would not recommend for a family w 2 teenagers like we had. The patio is great w a grill, but w dated furniture. It is run by a rental company so anytime you have an issue you have to make a call which is not something you want to do on your vacation. It needs a few more items to make it a little easier to manage plus the trash/recycling for this area is a mess. Great location, very close to to the beach & Belmont which our kids love. Overall we had a great time, we came for the beach and to spend time mist of our time outside.
