Perfect for a road trip destination, a escape solo trip or a romantic getaway The perfect little space for 1 or 2 people max, to escape during these crazy times. Clean, quiet, safe .....North Park is described as one of the hippest, most up and coming communities in the nation by Forbes magazine. Walk to everything in town,.Just Blocks from Balboa Park which recently open again. Only a few minutes from Downtown, and only 15 minutes from the beach which in now opened.

Cozy, small studio, perfectly suitable for the foodie and nightlife enthusiast. Convenient to everything North park has to offer. Stroll downtown University street and engage all your senses in every delight and sight. No matter what direction head, you'll find yourself immersed in the pulse of the City. Head to Hillcrest and hit a cool venue, Mosey down to Balboa Park, walk to the Zoo or simply relax in the beautiful​ garden. Thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between stays with contactless check-in. If by chance you are looking for a little bit bigger of a space, we do have a one bedroom available on the premises.

There is no A/C but just in case, there is a portable fan (stored in the closet).

If you need assistance.... BEWARE!
This was a nice rental, not sure how it would work for 2 adults, it is tiny... it was fine for one. I had a plumbing issue... it 3 times of my reaching out to the owners... I NEVER received a call back. And, my issue with the toilet was not resolved during my stay. I even reached out after my trip. These ladies are NOT HELPFUL in any sense of the word. I would not return.

I never slept well because the bed was inadequate, hard no box springs at at least needs the following a 2 0r 3 inch foam on the bed is number one. The 2 nights were the worst sleeps I had for along time. Since it was a small space ot would aid others if there were hooks on the back of the entry door for clothing, there was ground coffee but no coffee grinder. The price was higher than the place deserved.

Special spot
This was my first visit to San Diego and I found a great location in this cozy space. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and sitting outside in the evenings. The size of the place was perfect for me, but may be a little tight with a second person; you would really have to like them a lot, lol. It really is in a fantastic location. My only recommendation is to make sure the shower curtain is completely closed when you turn the water on or it will hit the floor.

Clean studio apartment in a quiet neighborhood
My partner and I stayed at this apartment for a short trip to San Diego, so we did not spend much time in the unit other than to sleep and get ready. This place is perfect for short visits to the city. It was spotless, in a quiet neighborhood, and Francesca is a great host. We arrived late and accidentally transposed some numbers on the key pad and it briefly locked us out. We gave Francesca a call and she answered, even though it was late, and was walked us through getting into the unit. We have two things to flag if you stay here: 1) There is ample free street parking, but it's hard to find free spots in the evening when people are home. We arrived back to the unit around 9:00 pm each night and had to drive around for about 10 minutes to find an available spot. 2) The door to the bathroom is a sliding closet door with slats rather than a regular door, so it is not very private. These two facts, however, were not big impacts on our stay and we would definitely book this unit again the next time we're in San Diego.

simple base for exploring
Small and basic spot for budget travelers who want to explore Balboa Park and the Hillcrest/ North Park areas, with easy access to downtown and the bayfront areas too. Grocery and buses nearby, a mile or so walk to the park and to great North Park restaurants. The room is small and simple (small fridge, no dining space inside) but is off a nice quiet courtyard with table and chairs where we watched hummingbirds among the plantings. A little noise from unit above, but not bad, and quiet at night. Hosts were helpful and quick to answer questions.

Quick visit

Peaceful Retreat
Our first visit to San Diego and we have fallen in love with the city. The "Bougainville Garden Oasis" was the perfect "little" room to come back to after long days of walking beaches & exploring such a wonderful city. Just a short walk away we could access restaurants & even grabbed some munchies from the nearby grocery store to take back to our room for a late night snack. The trickling fountain right outside our window was the perfect sleep aid & the birds singing in the garden in the morning was our perfect alarm clock. Although small, the room's surroundings & outdoor areas made it feel relaxing & zen like. I panicked when I left something of value in the room, and contacted the owner Francesca right away, she was readily available when I called & went to the room & found my item & is returning it to me! I appreciate this kind of service as it's not always what you find in hotels. My husband & I will be visiting San Diego again someday & will definitely be calling upon Francesca for a room!!

great little zen spot...
This is a GREAT property and a perfect get away for a solo travel. The spot if VERY small and more than one person? Might be a little tight. It is clean. The garden is great and chill. The neighborhood is safe and it is centrally located enough that there is plenty around to do and eat and all that. It is VERY cozy. I would use this place again!! Very good stuff!!

Cozy, comfortable, convenient, and a good value
This is a sweet little studio in a nice neighborhood. The garden/courtyard area is lovely and I slept extremely well to the sound of the outdoor water fountain, located right below the window. I would definitely return.
