This is one of the best locations in San Diego we are within walking distance to the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and many other attractions this city has to offer. Our home has been completely updated and made comfortable for groups up to 6 people. We love being a part of our wonderful AirBnB community and welcome all outstanding members from all different backgrounds. Hillcrest is a neighborhood in San Diego located northwest of Balboa Park. It is an accepting urban village with a small town feel. Hillcrest is known for its tolerance, diversity and locally-owned businesses including eclectic restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs and boutique shopping. It is also known for its salons and spas, medical offices, two major hospitals and the largest concentration of LGBTQ+ owned businesses in the city.

Balboa Park is a cultural oasis that includes 17 museums, gardens galore and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. At 1,200 acres, Balboa Park is one of North America’s most iconic urban parks and a must see on any visit to San Diego

Being in the heart of the city, Balboa Park and Hillcrest are accessible by a number of major streets. Additionally, Hillcrest is among the most walkable neighborhoods in San Diego with a neighborhood Walk Score of 87. Rideshare is easily accessible. Many Bird scooters and bikes nearby.

Pet friendly, $99 per stay!
No smoking, loud music or parties. We do accept pets but it is important to pickup after them on a daily basis. Also, there will be an additional one time charge of $99 for pet cleaning.

Great stay!
Clean property, great location for Balboa Park/Zoo, super convenient parking, easy check in, safe and quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurant options. Some furniture swapped out from the listing photos.. hosts are free to do that and I think there is even a disclaimer about it so that isn’t a complaint, just awareness. Host was very attentive! Overall great stay!

This place was so great! The place was so clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I was amazed on how close it was to the zoo. You will be so pleased with the property managers and how well they attend to your needs.

Loved the supply of coffee and snacks. Kitchen has good quality cookware, need one or two serving bowls or a mixing bowl. Bed’s comfortable. We enjoyed the upstairs patio for morning coffee and watching squirrels and birds. Overall great place.

Highly Recommend
Great location near Balboa park with easy access from the highway to surrounding attractions! Communication was great and check in/out were really smooth. Listing was as described with some normal wear not captured in the pictures but nothing to prevent us from renting again. Having a designated parking spot was great especially with traveling with smaller kids!

Great!
Well situated to get to all the San Diego attractions with grocery & restaurants within walking distance. Host was responsive to inquires & easy to work with. Little snacks, coffee, & water were a real treat. Do becareful with steamy showers because smoke detector is just outside the bathroom. The beds were comfy and there were extra blankets. Kitchen seemed well stocked although I did not cook. Laundry pods were provided so that was very helpful. The only suggestion I have would be to send the check out email the day before. We checked out before receiving the email so missed a few of the host requests but he was very understanding. Would stay again.

Great place
Spent a few nights here with my sister and friend. The house was very clean and appliances looked new. I appreciated having a washer and dryer in the unit. Check in was easy and the host is responsive. The house is in a great location, the street is quite and it is a quick walk to restaurants and bars in the Hillcrest neighborhood and to Balboa park. It was also close to freeways. Overall, a great spot to stay in.

Spring Break
Great location, near all of the attractions. Safe neighborhood and easy parking, we would stay here again. The place could use a touch up for paint scuffs, and worn furniture, but overall was a great place to stay.

Beautiful little apartment in a gem of a location
My friend and I had a wonderful time staying at the “Canyon View” Vrbo. Efran was a good host and took care of any needs that came, there weren’t many fortunately. The place was cozy, clean, had stackable washer and dryer, and all the amenities. What was real nice was that the rental was a two bedroom separated by the bathroom. Hillcrrst still has its charm that’s for sure. We will definitely be back.

Great location!
This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend! Centrally located to Balboa Park and some great restaurants. The property is exactly as pictured, very cozy. The only reason check-in process was not 5 star was some difficulty w/ the access code, but Gina was super responsive and was able to fix it quickly. Pull out couch in the living room was not comfortable for sleeping and there is lots of "plumbing noise" from the pipes every time the downstairs guests turned on a faucet but the neighborhood is peaceful and quite. Really appreciated the great parking spot too! Would love to come back again.

A little gem in a FANTASTIC location!
The real star here is the LOCATION!!! We walked to the zoo, and we loved the Hillcrest neighborhood! Great local restaurants and a super cute candy store nearby! The property is great; very clean and comfortable. The property owner checked in on us periodically. We had everything we needed and the snacks really helped!

Amazing host and place!!
Efrain was an amazing host! He was so accommodating and the place was very clean. He was also very quick to respond to any messages and happy to help whenever we needed anything. Definitely recommend this place for your stay in San Diego! The location was also very safe and had a lot to do in the area.

Great Location
We really enjoyed our first trip to San Diego. It was myself, my husband and our 2 kids, both in their twenties. This was a perfect location for us. About 15-20 minutes away from everything we wanted to do and included a parking space. A great area for my morning walks with local neighborhoods and shopping - about 15-20 minute walk to the grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, local coffee shops. The washing machine was appreciated after we got wet at the beach unexpectedly. The heater is in the living room so the closed bedrooms will not get heat, but we probably picked the coldest week of the year! A little chilly in the morning, but not undoable. Hot water doesn't last as long as a hotel. Couch is not the fold out I expected so it took a minute to figure out but it was large. Hospitality was great and the clean up was minimal compared to some other places we have stayed.
