Seedy, stay away!
I’ve stayed in many VRBOs and never wrote one bad review until now. The place was not clean, smelled, no parking and in a dark, cheap housing complex directly above a bar. Paid for 3 nights and left after 1 night without refund, was that bad! Upon pulling up the unit was next to tattoo/smoke shops and directly above a bar. The area was seedy. There was no available parking and you had to walk a couple of blocks. You enter the building and go up worn down/chipped laminate stairs, the hallways are dark as you go through, fluorescent lights turn on and off as you go. Creepy. We entered and the unit smelled terribly like someone cooking heavy ethic foods for years. The pics on the site are not what they seem. The balconies are tiny and overlook a weed filled yard or above a bar entrance. One bedroom window is literally 15 feet from the bar entrance which is left open, super loud. The host does mention in the listing it can be loud but it is so bad that the host supplies a jar of earplugs on the nightstand. Should tell you enough. The worst however was the cleanliness. Two separate pillows had blood drops on them and the white comforter had two separate yellow stains on them. The unit had a utility closet in the middle with no door. floors were gross. I reached out to the host WITH PICTURES of bedding, smell, noise & all they could offer was a cleaner next day. We couldn’t sleep and left asap the next day. Cut our trip short 2 nights w/out refund just to get out. Beware.
