"I've stayed here several times over a period of years. The staff are ALWAYS terrific! Free breakfast included -- a bonus, but limited variety if you stay three weeks as I do. Occasionally there's hot water for a shower. The rooms are starting to look run-down, but compared to other places, this is still a very good place to stay."

"Beautiful gardens and location with jungle mountains in the background. There is a pool on the way which will be a real bonus. The host retired Aussie Trevor and wife Jessa really make you feel like you're at home,while Ramil who apart from being a jack of all trades is a fantastic cook and takes care of any requests you may have. Jupiter's is a fun bar to hang out at night and sing a song if your keen."

"I recently stayed at this hotel with my family and overall had a positive experience, but there are a few significant drawbacks to note. Cons: The main issue during my stay was the construction noise on the ground, third, and fourth floors. It was quite disruptive, making it hard to relax. Additionally, there was a lot of noise from street traffic, including trikes and motorcycles, which added to the overall disturbance. "Obviously, the property is old already. I checked in on this hotel when it was still Hotel D Angelo and it was a bit okay. 20 years after, hotel needs to be renovated. Very evident that it is really old. No shampoo and soap provided. No dental kit, no free bottled water and no toilet paper. To think that its rate is expensive compared to other hotels in the same area"

"The area was nice, conveniently located in the downtown area, and the staff there is excellent. They also provide a free breakfast as well. There were some insects in the bathroom, but that is not unusual in Tacloban. Overall the stay was very enjoyable."
