This cozy resort is beautifully tucked between the lush mountains of Samaná and the stunning shores of Las Galeras Beach. The rooms, grounds, and pool areas were all well maintained, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay.
The buffet could benefit from more variety, especially for guests staying multiple days. Likewise, the bars would be more appealing if they featured a broader selection of well-known liquors and highlighted more of the exceptional local rum brands—some of which truly rival the best.
Staff were consistently friendly and attentive, adding a warm touch to the overall experience.
If I could rate it 3.5 stars, I would. Since that’s not an option, I settled on 3—but with just a few thoughtful upgrades, this property could easily reach 4.5 stars. It clearly has great bones, and like many places still recovering post-pandemic, a little investment could go a long way.
