Located on the second floor, the apartment features a large kitchen, dining and living space, two bedrooms and a family bathroom. With everything Saltburn has to offer right on your doorstep, this property makes for a relaxing getaway on the coast.

The Space:
The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is bright and welcoming. Tall windows flood the space with light and there is an airy feel from the high ceilings and crisp white walls.

LIVING AREA
There is a stylish look to the whole apartment but the living area in particular features velvet seating in the form of a bold, blue sofa and a baby pink chair. Touches of yellow are added through a retro lamp and beanbag. The ideal space for relaxing, Apartment B will certainly feel like a home from home.

KITCHEN
Arching around the living area is the open plan kitchen and dining area. With white high shine cabinets and white brick style tiles, the kitchen has a clean and fresh look. You’ll have everything you could need for your self-catering stay by the seaside as Apartment B boasts a kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher, dryer and washing machine. There is also the added luxury of a coffee machine!

DINING AREA
The dining area includes a breakfast bar with on trend wicker bar stools. Ideal for socialising whilst cooking or preparing drinks, as well as relaxing on a morning with a coffee, this space is a nice addition to the open plan kitchen and dining area. The main dining table is modern and white with matching chairs.

BEDROOM
The two bedrooms and bathroom are located on an upper floor which can be reached via a flight of stairs.

Head to the first bedroom and you’ll find a cosy, welcoming space. With an arched ceiling, exposed beams and a skylight window, it has a really charming feel. You’ll enjoy your nights sleep as the comfy King size bed boasts premium bedding and linens. There is a rail to hang your clothes up during your stay and matching bedside tables for additional storage.

The second bedroom also has an arched ceiling and exposed beams which meet and crossover in a unique way adding plenty of character. To the left of the King size bed, there is a skylight window in the sloping ceiling so you can watch the stars above. Rustic wooden furniture and matching metal lamps add an industrial look.

BATHROOM
Inside the apartment there is also a modern and clean bathroom. Featuring a large walk in shower, WC and basin as well as textured tiles and a huge skylight window, this space is truly lovely.

Cornerhouse Apartments is home to three separate apartments with a maximum capacity of 13. If you are looking for a stay for a large group there are often opportunities to rent all three apartments together. Please send us an email with your preferred dates for availability and prices.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Free on street parking is available along the whole of the street and no permit is required.

The property is located on the first floor and accessed via a communal staircase. Please note there is no lift in the building so guests will need to climb several sets of stairs to reach the apartment.

The Neighborhood:
Cornerhouse Apartments are located in the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.

Located in the heart of the town, the apartment is only a short walk from the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.

Cornerhouse Apartments is close to all local amenities including independent shops, bars, restaurants and bistros.

Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and Saltburn is included. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful!

Getting Around:
Cornerhouse Apartments is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.

Excellent for the cost

For the cost of our 3 night stay I would happily stay again. The location was good, it was nice and quiet and the living space was great. Check in was easy. Some furniture etc looking a bit tired, and a few more hooks for coats etc would help, and the bathroom grouting could do with a refresh, but these things were minor and it was great value overall.

This apartment could not be more central to Saltburn. It is spacious, light, warm and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking to holiday in this lovely coastal town.

Loved this apartment!

Spacious, well equipped, clean and within 5 minutes walk of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It worked perfectly for our party of 4 adults. We were prepared for the stairs up to the second floor so considered it as training! We had lots of kit for walking, running and swimming, so shelves/ drawers in the bedrooms wouldn’t have gone amiss and a few hooks for towels/coats would have been useful but there was plenty of floor space for all our stuff. Saltburn is a lovely little town with great facilities, a beautiful beach and lovely walks on the doorstep. We'll definitely be back and would happily stay at this apartment again.
