"The Lochaline Hotel is located in the tiny village of Lochaline, which is reached by a rather long drive on a single-track road. Although remote, the hotel rewards a stay with its peacefulness. It is located right on the sound. The ferry runs frequently to Mull and no reservation is needed. Our hosts were warmly welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and had a wonderful view of the sound. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order."

"A cheap place to stay if you just need a place to sleep. Run down and mostly broken. Add to it the most inhospitable and rude receptionist which complained about everything but found it OK to "walk" his dog for a 5am morning pee at the trash cans in the small common area backyard."

"The room was good with a large bathroom and perfectly acceptable. But it wasn't great. No chairs to sit in, only window seats which were uncomfortable. We were in room 1, right by the front door so rather noisy until the restaurant closed and our window (with a great view) was by the front door, so it felt a bit like being in a goldfish bowl. Would I stay again? Maybe, it was OK, just not great."

"The owners of property friendly, nothing to much trouble for them. Scenic views Breakfast was lovely and hot but not keen on bread for toast. The only thing I would remark on, is property not well signposted off the main road and could do with some repairs to potholes"

"Great place for accommodations in Tobermory. Property management had clear instructions on how to get in and how to work things in the apartment (eg. Pull out bed) plus lots of information on the island available. It was clean and ideally located on the Main Street with only about an 8 min walk to the buses at the car park. "

"Incredibly beautiful location, very peaceful!! Views of isle of Mull. And everything you need on site, except it's a bit far from provsions, so prepare by stocking up with groceries, petrol and beverages before you get there. "

"This VRBO in Tobermory is perfectly located in town. It is new, very clean and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to recommend it Shops and restaurants in town are right there, and the restaurant (MacGoshan) and Tobermory Distillery are within minutes. "The property is a delight. It’s cosy clean and warm. Not many places offer a view of an ancient castle. Richard shows huge interest in how guests recycle. The compost bin meant all our food waste doesn’t go to land fill. It’s our second time staying in Castle Cottage and would not hesitate to recommend this gem of a place to stay. "

"The indifference of the operator.......we were given an address but house numbers in Tobermoy are erratic thus to give 61 Main Street was hardly why not add 'opposurte the Cafe Fish'? And when we telephoned no one answered. In the flat the first cupboard's handle came off in our hand, the clock did not work for want of a battery and the bathroom light flickered non-stop.
