16-person occupancy is based on two people sleeping on king, queen and full mattresses, one person on each of the two twin mattresses and four people (kids ideally) on high quality memory foam floor mats (included). Master bedroom has plenty of extra floor space as does the mother-in-law suite.
The house is located four miles south of downtown Sandpoint and less than 45 minutes from Schweitzer. It's forty-five minutes north of Coeur d'Alene, 90 minutes Northeast of Spokane International Airport and no matter where you're from, it's worth a visit!
Lake Pend Oreille water levels are controlled by the Army Corp. of Engineers at Albeni Falls Dam. They always have the lake full by June 15th and start slowly drawing down the water the first week of October. Most years the pool level is within a couple feet of full pool level by Memorial weekend which makes our private dock very usable. Check this website for current and forecasted levels.

Lastly, it is fairly common to see deer in this area. It's also not unheard of to see elk. Both animals are pretty harmless unless you hit them with your car! Once in a great while you might see a moose. Keep your distance... they can be cranky.
Hope to have you as a guest soon!
