Huge Disappointment
As an opening statement, let me say that if we were able to share the pics that we took, nobody would ever stay here.
Checking in was seamless and the host was pleasant.
However, when we arrived, the exterior was weed-ridden and appeared not to have been cared for in a long time. Paint was falling off the exterior and two vents were torn open so rodents could easily enter under the property. Not the end of the world I guess, but not a great initial experience.
When we entered, the front room was ok but the rug was somewhat dirty. The rest of the interior looked nice and clean until I noticed that the clothes dryer in the kitchen had been removed and the dryer vent that went to the outside was open to the elements and quite welcoming to rodents, etc. entering at will. Pretty disturbing but wait, there's more.
The horrific part came when I decided to head out the back door to the "Outdoor Space". I was met with spider webs and then walked into what looked like a homeless encampment - seriously! The place had old dirty junk everywhere, too much to list. The house windows were unfinished/open to the elements and was a total city code violation.
We did not stay and had to find a hotel instead. When we asked for a refund, this is the response we got:
"It doesn’t sound like there’s much I can do here to rectify the situation. Please check out at your lieusre however a refund will not be provided. Best of luck"
