"Although the property is rural its a perfect base to get to lots of places. If you drive then everything you need is virtually on the doorstep! The property is very close to grocery and retail shops with Chester and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet a short drive away. Gary is the perfect host and we loved the personal "meet & greet". "We travelled from Canada, three sisters and two of our daughters, and wanted to enjoy an authentic English accommodation. We found everything we needed with the unique and luxurious Douglas Cottage. Plenty of space for all five of us, with 3 bedrooms (a total of 4 beds that you melted into, my daughter and I shared the queen bed in the master bedroom ) and 3 bathrooms, it was the perfect fit for us and turned out to be less expensive than 3 hotel rooms. "Property is ideal for a couple, short or longer stay. Very clean and comfortable. Location is excellent within a quiet area very close to City Centre. Great shops - highly recommended Butcher - and three great Pubs with nearest next door but one and furthest about a minute away. Parking on road is limited to 30 minutes between 0800 and 1800, but parking available close by, and was ok. Would recommend this property."

"We throughly enjoyed our stay , we had good communication with the owners and the cottage was very clean and spacious. Parking was never a problem and it is in a quiet area but very handy for Chester which is a lovey town .The hot tub was great and was used every day . "
