"The house was easy to find. The views are amazing! It was a great place to rest after spending the day on a Soo Locks tour. There was only one bathroom. Also, the grass area for viewing the freighters has had lots of geese so be careful where you step."

"It was a clean property. Perfect for 2 people anymore might be crowded. We were able to walk to the ferry and most restaurants. The sunrise is beautiful. Macinac Island was disappointing but I don't like shopping."

"This rustic getaway provided us with the peace and quiet we needed, while providing a good springboard to exploring the area. The accommodations were neat and clean. From the home's porch we were able to enjoy beautiful sunset views of St Mary's River leading out to Lake Superior!"

"The property itself was clean but all around the property was filled with a lot of trash all the way down to the lake and all through the parking lot. You can hear through the walls like they're sitting next to you. We had to leave a day early due to a family emergency I sent that to the property owner but never got a response. We traveled over to the lower peninsula over the bridge it was much cleaner and much prettier, way better maintained."

"My husband, dogs and I needed a place to stay for two nights before heading to Mackinac Island for a week. This house was PERFECT! It was clean, cozy, awesome yard, had everything needed for a stay. Host was great at communication. Answered questions promptly. Very accommodating. Would stay again in a heartbeat!!"

"We loved everything about our stay. We had gone up to go to the I-500, but decided to stay right where we were, it was so peaceful and lovely. The host is most generous and very hospitable. We thank you for a wonderful trip home. Oh, that's right, I forgot to tell you I'm from Rudyard and we come home about 3-4 times a year. So, we'll be seeing you again. Until next time..... "The house was just the right size for us. Everything was clean and updated. And the location could not have been better. We did not spend a lot of time at the house, however, because the weather was so beautiful and we had lots to see! It was our first trip to the UP and we thoroughly enjoyed it."

"This is the best place to stay on Mackinac Island. The location is perfect, just slightly out of the main street area to avoid the business, but still a very close walk to everything in just a few minutes. The huge wrap-around front porch overlooks the stunning view of the harbor and town. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! Our room was wonderful. Bike rentals are directly on site. The restaurant has unbelievably great views. Without a doubt we will make the Island House...
